55 years of AMG - that’s 55 years of passion, precision and efficiency!
To celebrate this anniversary, David Coulthard, our host for this episode, is at the Circuito del Jarama in Spain to meet up with well-known members of the world’s fastest family and take a look at the special cars that have shaped the AMG brand over the past five and a half decades and changed the game in many aspects.
As well as getting up close with extraordinary AMG models from past and present, David has the chance to enjoy some rapid laps around the track. Lucky that he brought his helmet!
The speed theme continues as David meets Lewis Hamilton - a man who knows fast cars better than most - and together, the two dive deep into the history of AMG and take two fantastic AMG models for a spin. What could be more special than seeing the Red Pig in action alongside one of our newest family members?
Finally, we're thrilled to be joined not only by Lewis Hamilton but by two more special guests for AMG's 55th birthday: David also talks to the outstanding artist and fellow AMG Ambassador will.i.am and to the former racing driver Bernd Schneider, aka "Mr. DTM".

I´m 69 years old, and I´m still remember these race at SPA 1971, when everybody says, look, these guys brougth a taxi to race in SPA and when the race finished, the same guys didn´t say anymore that was a taxi so big and so heavy. A true masterpiece this 6,8 Mercedes 300 SEL Red Pig, drived by Schickentanz and Hans Heyer, I think. Thank you for these amasing review, and congratulations.

Awesome video !, overwhelmed with goodies for an AMG fan The W124 hammer is TO DIE FOR! , the growl of the M113k engine of the CLK DTM is so intoxicating! .Other cars are also unbelievable ofcourse! .will.i am is a cool guy and a talented artist. That AMG GT G wagon hybrid freak still looks ugly like no other car I've seen. The ending was quite epic also the very 1st AMG along with latest technology in the AMG one .

🤩 the first time I ever saw an AMG was at the LA Auto show. The SLC and SL had Mono chrome paint jobs and huge engines in them the intake plenum had to be over 60mm. When I first saw the HAMMER it was magnificent.

My AMG packaged CLS still pulls like a freight train while nudging the 200k mile mark on the odometer. Will never get rid of it. It also hasn't been to costly to own compared to other vehicles I have owned. AMG for life!
