Inside an East Coast Inspired New Build in Scottsdale, AZ | THELIFESTYLEDCO

Located in Scottsdale, AZ and built in partnership with E&S Builders, this 5,400 sqft new build was a spec home turned client project - which is a first for us! While THELIFESTYLEDCO™ is a West Coast-based Interior Design firm, we pulled inspiration from the East Coast with the overall build design. The furnishings were all selected with our clients in mind to fit their needs as a family of four, which included a wellness room, a guest house for teens and friends, and a layered marble primary bathroom. Our clients resonate with coastal tones and while we typically stick to neutrals, we were able to incorporate this color into various styling choices and the kitchen cabinet colors, while still sticking to our trademarked aesthetic, Organic Desert Living™. I absolutely love this home, especially the kitchen and dining room. You would never have to talk me out of a white or light kitchen because I don’t feel like they have much personality, and I would have used the floor in the prep kitchen without a second’s thought. I’ve always loved the alternating dark and light flooring on the diagonal. I think the mirror wall is wonderful and looks so good with the metal doors and wall in the living room. The office is such a dream, especially the wall treatment with the grass cloth and dark walls. As much as I love the home, the outside would be awfully hard to leave, and the pool is the prettiest you’ve done, I think. Well done!!

Ok number one tip you shared that I learned the hard way is: Everything can't be a moment but every room/space should ha e a moment. Yass! We accidentally made more than one thing a moment in our kitchen and it could seem overwhelming because there's a lot to look at with a tuxedo kitchen and a spotlight backsplash. We should have scaled back on the backsplash

Had to find your youtube clip as you described the 'dirty' kitchen. In Australia and England (and probably a lot of other countries) we call the dirty kitchen a 'butler's pantry' as this use to be where the butler would do the prep so it wasnt seen in the main kitchen.

I have a dirty kitchen, this double kitchen is very convenient because one is the social kitchen, the one you want to look nice and where you serve food and the other is where the dirty dishes, pots, pans go and the social kitchen does not dirty. It is used more when it is integrated with the kitchen, TV and entertainment area next to the bar. We have a beautiful living room and dining room and when we have parties everyone is on TV and in the kitchen, no one is in the other formal areas.
