Lovely space! I love the idea of leaving the shoes in a cupboard before entering the office. It almost feel like you're entering into someone's home instead of an office. This will never happen here in Canada. People will think you're nuts for leaving your shoes before entering an office...LOL Btw, can you pls share where they got that beautiful big tan leather sofa at the beginning of the video?

Admittedly the 'individual' furniture pieces here are beautiful. But personally 'minimalism' as a general design concept gives me the opposite "feel' that it is ironically trying to project...'simplicity'. Unfortunately, it always looks quite 'forced' and engineered, and very pronounced in a flat space. One of the concepts of minimalism is to ensure that everything owned serves its purpose and/or quality over quantity . What can 'clearly' be seen in many minimalism designs is the opposite of the intention. We see many 'minimalism' designs which include beautiful and 'solely' from an 'aesthetic' point of view ie, low back sofas, low-lined beds, hardwood /straw-backed chairs etc just to name a few, that are clearly form over function...and if we are honest are not long term sustainable in a comfort sense of the word. And therefore, this minimalist philosophy is thrown out of the window, due to its own contradiction. Has human beings we naturally seek both mentally and psychologically 'comfort' in all terms (including our home environment). This also goes for our natural evolvement and natural expectation of both colour and texture in the world around us. A recent example of this would be the well known celebrity 'Kim Kardashian's' recent interior design commision of her current home. This is completely based on the 'minimalism concept'. It is obviously both form over function (and to draw attention to it's minimalist philosophy extremities). So let us see how long this commision and its form over function will last, until Miss K (and others like her) are forced to admit to defeat, and return to a more contemporary function over form.

The germophobe in me is cringing hard at the thought of walking barefoot in a public space. Cool design though. If it works with how they do things and people don't mind open workspaces, it's probably great... for a lot of other workspaces, this is very form over function.... also barefoot...

Thanks for sharing! Open workspaces are an ongoing trend due to the work from home lifestyle many companies have adapted to. It's also a good way to host clients that visit their showroom as everything is always kept neat and tidy!

I wouldn't call this a "public space" cause generally you'll be usually working with the same group of people in a small office space. Of course you'll receive clients once in a while, just as you would receive guests in your home. I'm sure they have office cleaners to clean and mop the floor regularly, so it's not like they are walking barefoot on dirty floors. In any case, being exposed to germs is also key to priming your immune response....LOL
