Inside an Olympians Equipment Bag | Shot Put Foundations

Starting out with part 1 of a series I have wanted to do for a while called SHOT PUT FOUNDATIONS. This series will go over all the basics you need to know to throw the shot put, some tips and tricks I've picked up along the way in my career, and some special secrets into how I compete at my best on the world stage. That being said, the first thing you're gonna need is gear!
In this video, I go over what I keep in my travel bag. This is the stuff that I need to keep on me when I travel to both domestic and international meets and, coincidentally, is what I'm taking to Glasgow for the Indoor World Championships March 1. I use a screw top container from walmart that has been great, can hold 2 blocks of chalk and is in the sweet spot in terms of rigidity and softness, it was also like 3 bucks and i’ve flown with it and everything, just food for thought

I’d say Heavenly Hunks from Costco are a relatively healthy, high calorie snack that tastes great. Brian Shaw had them in his diet too so World’s Strongest Man approved💪🏻

Back when I was contracting for the government I would travel with a lacrosse ball, going out of th bus was easy but leaving places like Afghanistan was super hard lol they had no idea what the little ball was and the X-ray say it was super dense so they would always freak out on me.

Ryan you are a world record holder in an event/skill that is 1000's of years old that requires extended and very advanced athletic ability i.e strength, agility, spacial awareness, dexterity, and mental fortitude. Here's my two cents. I don't know how much you have done this but, have you reached out to other KZbin personalities like Brian Shaw, Juji Mufu, Eddie hall, Nick Symonds or other names of the like. I know Field athletes let alone throwers do not receive the credit they deserve when it comes to the skill required to compete on a world stage let alone dominate said stage. Its not a sexy sport but a respected one. Sexy= Money unfortunately.. I just want to see you truly excel and have your name and personality all over the web for more eyes to see. You are a solid funny dude with an unmatched work ethic whos 300+ pounds and 6'7 . I don't see any reason why you cant hit 300k subs with a collaborating with other creators. You have all the credibility you would ever need to get an appearance. We've all seen less do more... Keep posting as much as you can. We all like seeing a Crouser vid pop up randomly, but what we would love is seeing one pop up bi weekly with out fail. Seeing a thrower succeed outside the circle would do so much good for discipline and athletics in general. God Speed.

i’m surprised to here you say you don’t check in your shot, i take mine through tsa and usually don’t get a problem. at most they just wipe it and ask me questions about it.

Lots of short throwers have thrown very far! Shorter throwers can still throw very far with good technique.

This is a hyperize, I think the top end theragun is better, but it is expensive
