It's fascinating listening to Yaron talk about his own development. And it's all extemporaneous.

The generalist is the person who sees the wider context and can see what it is that needs to be integrated.

I hear ya. If there's anything to add to that, it's this: seeing the wider context is going to require learning on a massive scale, and not just working a few principles into action. It still has to be inductive, for you to integrate across a wide scale, so details and facts of a weighty nature are still needed for the process. That would include book learning, yes, but also observation and personal experience in areas that foster a greater ability to generalize. It may also require seeing seeing some specialties metaphorically in a way that applies outside that specialty. If you achieve most of the above, you probably would make a good generalist.

I'll have to watch this video again and take notes. It addresses so many of the mistakes I've made and a few I'm still making.

Non-intellectial Objectivists can comment, within the limit of their knowledge, in online blogs and in print media letters to-the-editors.

If philosophy is easy, then why are there only two top philosophers, Aristotle and Rand?

OFF TOPIC: Bio ethicist KIRA PEIKOFF mentioned anti cancer properties of chemicals in TURMERIC. I like what the chemicals in RED WINE do. Seriously. Also, another film that might be interesting after barbie & Oppenheimer is NAPOLEON BONAPARTE with Rivers. Should be sad though as Bonaparte the freedom fighter became a tyrant

If the person is rich, then work is option. In that situation, job is not important.

The issue is career, not work. Happiness isn't a golden parachute on a cruise somewhere. It's about the accomplishments -- that's where self-worth emerges. And the money itself is the result of those who took accomplishment seriously.

Reason, purpose and self-esteem are the basic values for mans life. Money does not change this. Man is a mind/body unity, not a body w/only physical needs.

OK, youre rich. You awaken late. Your maid prepares breakfast. You have the rest of the day being rich. Now what?
