Thanks for the video Toby. Its not just The Motorplex doing great things for Sprintcars, you're doing a great job too. Thanks again.

Larsons comments regarding actually having stuff to do in Perth, when not at the speedway are the perfect reason to get another speedway built in Brisbane. So much potential to attract more international stars, with so much to do in Brisbane and surrounds. As good as Toowoomba is, speedway as a whole suffers a little without archerfield.

I think most would agree - Having Archerfield a couple hours from Toowoomba only helped fan and competitor interest. I think we'll see a new track in QLD soon... -Toby

Makes no sense Toowoomba is a great venue, best track ( racey) and curator in the business so close to Brisbane.
@PulsingKrugotvoid7 сағат бұрын
@steveballard515 what makes no sense? Are you saying it makes no sense to have another track out there or that they don't? The more tracks the better imo. Yes they take from each other a little, but where I'm from we have about 6 or 7 tracks within 4 hours of me. As an American I really wanna check out toowoomba (let me know if it's worth it anyway) but I'd like to have another track to check out closer than what 10 hours away? Same with perth.

@@steveballard515archerfield ran in conjunction with Toowoomba for many many years, drivers and fans are the ones suffering without Archerfield and it’s replacement. Think of vic/sa speed week. 5 tracks all within a couple of hours. Toowoomba is a fantastic track - never said anything different.

@@PulsingKrugotvoid As for a Greater Brisbane Facility,,, Toby delivers a great summary from the 24.54 of what it takes and what needed. Ryan Harris and the Toowoomba Team do a very good job with an entertaining racy track. But they are working with a location and second class venue that will not draw growth from the 2.5 million Greater Brisbane population outside of the couple of hundred rusted on professional spectators. And Streaming and KZbin is not a sustainable substitute and DONT expect the government to help.

As i said to you when i met you at the track Toby, thank you for all your efforts giving us so much behind the scenes access here at home and in the US. It creates bigger fans because you feel more immersed in the sport. 👍

I sat next to Brian Hall for 3 nights. A guy that a legend Steve Lyons drive for him for many years. His personal insight into what was happening plus experience was amazing. Toby a guy you should interview as he had Kerry Maddsen drive for him in America. Just a amazing guy and glad I got to share something rare with someone that knows there shit!

I've been going to plex for ages and I've never seen the place pumping like it did on this weekend. It was amazing to see such a big event come to my backyard and I really hope it continues for years to come. Was great meeting the Hub crew too keep the videos up.

Glad they like our 2nd tier series. Just imagine how excited they'd be if the World Of Outlaws had races there.

Watched it from Darwin NT and absolutely loved it. Only thing I didn't gel with was turning the lights off watching live and seeing the format from that state of play live down on the Track. I'm more than sure the Spectators on the backside of the track to the Racecars placed on the Track would not have seen it either. My Tip would be to keep the lights on and have all Cars in the Feature spreads around the Track to have all the Spectators see and view that at the end of the day, pay an Admission fee to watch a Spectacular Motor Racing Sport on Dirt. Otherwise it was incredible and cannot wait until next year for a rise to $110K that may draw more Yanks to be involved here in Australia. It has the potential to override the Biggest Race in Australia that Draws the most Racers being The Warrnambool Classic for entrances.

Great event by Perth, I can only think back to what a terrible mistake by the NSW government closing Parramatta, then all of the arrogance with the selection of the new site being wrong by around 5km. Then more of the same arrogance with the fiasco of not listening and bad designs of what is now the Sydney International Speedway. I’ve been to a couple of meets. The crowd is too close in fact its just a matter of time before a car goes over the fence in turn 4. Where the main stands are. People don’t sit on turns 3 and 4 because if the dirt flung up onto the seats.

Hate that some have tried to create a East vs West argument from this event. The classic will always be the classic & as a West Australian still would love to get to the classic one day but it is nice to have a great blue ribbon event in WA. Yes the scheduling may clash but sure it's a kink that could be worked out over time

it would be nice if the WA teams didn't have to give up their seats for the USA drivers. I know some will bring their own cars and gear and setup their own, but most just contract with Aussie teams putting local drivers without a drive. Is there a limit of how many drivers can nominate to an event? Can the perth motorplex increase specatator capacity with grand stands? Can not wait to see how little genius Rico Abreu goes next speedweek, shame he wasn't able to take part.

i don't mean to be a downer.... don't get me wrong but too me personally it just felt like a Maddington Toyota series rnd with 100,000 to win check and a few Americans and Kyle. Until you have Lachie McHugh, Hallet, Veal, Dillon, Dumesney, Stewart, and all the best in the east over there it really doesn't feel all that big... sorry just personal opinion. having it on the same weekend and as the east coast speedweek is just a terrible scheduling decision... it still doesnt even come close to the classic and the title. Its just the $100,000 marketing thats on this race.

I think the scheduling will always be an issue. You can’t stop other Australian Sprint Car events stop for High Limit. In saying that I really loved the event and it was one of the best I’ve experienced in my life. I even went to the Adelaide 500 and that was a spectacle to watch as well. But High Limit is on another level. At the end of the day those other experienced Sprintcar drivers that you have named that weren’t there had a choice to come over and to be up against the best but they didn’t show up 🤷♂️ Look at Jock Godyear for example. He could have done sprintcar Speedweek with McHugh, Hallet, Dumensey etc. but he chose to challenge himself to go against the worlds best in Perth. Same as Luke Oldfield, Ryan Newton Matt Egle. Massive credit to him as well and look how well he did. Among many more that came along.

Perth has been blessed with a Gov funded facility and a promoter that exudes passion and professionalism in bringing entertainment and spectators to speedway. Greater Brisbane area has the passion BUT,, in this day and age, will never get Government funding and so should convene a grass roots industry lead effort.
