Inside Castle Grimburg - Germany

Today Winnis Travels will give you a extended tour of Castle Grimburg in Germany. This beautiful castle was built around 1150, then destroyed and rebuilt in 1190. From 1220 Castle Grimburg had a 10 soldier permanent contingent. Around 1450 someone called Meier von Heddert was quartered, a death sentence back then. In 1522 the Reichritter Franz von Sickingen took over Castle Grimburg without a fight. Around 1600 a lot of witches process took place including torture and probably death sentences, you can have further information about this topic, when you visit the local museum at the village of Grimburg. In 1683 the reunion wars rampaged through the area and French soldiers set the main building on fire.
In 1978 the support group Castle Grimburg was founded and they trying to restore some of the buildings as you can see in the video.

This is a very interesting place. I think it would be a great location to organize reenactment festivals and events. In France, similar places often host such historical events. Do they have similar events here?
