And that, folks, is how the other half lives in NYC! However, there were a lot of perfectly usable ideas, such as hiding the TV in a hutch, using stain treated fabrics, the "palate cleanse" bedroom and GREEN, such a great color to decorate with, it has energy/life but is also peaceful.

Hmm, it's hard to believe that anyone was hesitant to buy a Gramercy Park apartment, even with it being a "project." That location is very coveted in NYC, w/exclusive access to the park. That said, whatever the before was, the after/current look of it is beautiful and serene and they just tripled their investment.

I have never seen a gated park. I think nothing is better giving to those in need. I have boughten people’s groceries for them at the store before and it literally makes them cry of happiness. I think a gated park is a crime against humanity, and all things moral.
@cecik55782 жыл бұрын
@@carissafisher7514 your generosity is wonderful. I agree that it is beautiful to give to those in need. However, I don’t think a gated park is a crime against humanity. I’m sure a lot of people in NYC want to be able to let their kids run a bit free without having to worry about some drug addict popping out from behind the bushes and accosting them. You get enough of that behavior on the streets.
@carissafisher75142 жыл бұрын
@Ceci K it is usually the uncle, a trusted family friend that hurts your kids. It is statistically proven that the people you know, and trust are the ones who will hurt you. It is a misnomer that homeless people are hiding in a back alley to rape you. Most people are homeless because they don’t have family support and most Americans are one paycheck away from homelessness. It is the rich uncle paying for your son’s college you should be worried about molesting your child.

I love it when a home reflects the personality of a person. She can do it easily, of course, but sometimes people find affordable ways too. She considered the dog, which is cool, and made the common areas quite peaceful. Blending or matching the view with the interior is a smart touch. I also liked that she did not make it completely classic ir symmetric- there are some unexpected twists in it.

Gorgeous. Thought Bunny Williams, then looked CeCe up and I was right lol... So my only note is that the window treatment in the living room could use a valance, tastefully done of course, like the one in the kitchen but slightly higher to show more of the window. (Maybe another one in the bedroom over the windows, too.) That would give more harmony/unity to the curtains, especially when they're open (which would be most of the time). That would create more of a sense that the park view is enframed, though the view would still be inviting.

It is lovely and also WASPY.. so WASPY. If you were to come into my home, I would have to say. This is from IKEA. We chose this because it was cheap. The cheap theme continues with items I picked up at T.J Maxx. I picked these colors because that is what T.J Maxx had the most of. My architect was me.. and the guy I hired to do the work because he was cheap due to him being an alcoholic and frequently not showing up for work. Look at the charming errors he made in the tiling because of his inebriation. Ignore how the cabinets touch the door when you open them.. oops. I can't afford to fix it. In fact don't look at the bathrooms as we ran out of money before those got done.
