@jimmyodari548718 күн бұрын
@Donjesse1694 Being the longest is immaterial if it doesn't bring a meaningful economic value. So far let's wait and see if the SGR will be profitable or a loss. We can see the project is slowly going to Diesel trains
@jimmyodari548718 күн бұрын
@Donjesse1694 The Tanzania Electric SGR project is being funded by a combination of sources: * African Development Bank (AfDB): The AfDB is leading a $1.2 billion financing syndication for the project. * Government of China: The Tanzanian government has secured funding worth US$1.32 billion from the Chinese government for the construction of the Dar es Salaam-Dodoma section of the SGR. * Syndicated loan: In February 2020, the Tanzanian government received a syndicated loan worth US$1.46 billion from various financial institutions, including Standard Chartered, the Export Credit Agencies of Denmark and Sweden, and Yapı Merkezi. * Tanzanian government: The Tanzanian government is also contributing to the funding of the project.
