when i worked on an airport they had a falconry unit and guys would fly the falcons near flocks of birds to scare them away

Is it not possible with today's technology to get some sort of device that provides a recurring sound, either a bang or something the birds hear but humans don't, that drives the birds away? *Everything that lives.....must be protected*.

Due to habituation, the birds would soon learn that the bangs are harmless and would come to ignore it. It takes the death of a few birds for other birds to learn to avoid the area. It's kind of like the sound of construction. You hear it daily and have come to learn that it's probably not a predator coming to eat you.

Yes of course that makes sense but what if the sounds changed and altered in volume and length? Would that not prevent habituation? ^j^
