Probably contrary to what you might know, and having visited Detroit a million times and lived in the area my whole life, it’s because it’s a good area to live. There are bad spots in Detroit but it’s gotten way better in the past decade plus. Even tho Detroit gets a bad rap for being dangerous. Most people in Detroit and the area surrounding are really cool and down to earth working class people. When it comes to spending money, that’s a good question!

Eminem is my fave rapper, I love all his songs, and I am from the Detroit suburbs where he grew up! He has worked so hard fir all he has. He is truly a great guy, who stays real..doesn't live flashy and gives back . 8 Mile was an awesome movie which he seems so natural in. Keep bringing it EM!

Good on eminem he worked his ass off to get all of this! I’ve been to hollywood hills, overpriced houses with roads that aren’t even maintained. Property taxes go up and the road quality goes down. It’s actually so bad in the hills that the people who own the over-priced homes actually have to pay to store their expensive sport cars at the bottom of the hill. I’d be pissed! Millions of $$ on a custom house and I can’t even park my car up there? Total bullshit!👍🏽

Someone commented on another video like this one about Eminem’s mansions that they were surprised to learn Detroit has mansions. Born and raised in Michigan myself and spending a lot of time in and around Detroit you would be surprised the amount of lavish homes there are here. Aretha Franklins mansion was in West Bloomfield Hills witch is just west of Rochester Hills ( I currently live in Rochester Hill). Ems now permanent home in Clinton Township is just East of where I grew up in Sterling Heights (15 mile, obviously not far from 8 mile) his Clinton Twp home is actually closer to Detroit (Detroit starts at 8 Mile and ends at the Detroit River in Downtown Detroit and extends west to Wyandot where the Detroit airport is and east to Lake Erie and Lake Saint Clair in witch if you drove up Jefferson Ave. along the shore you would find miles of huge, beautiful mansions. So yes Detroit is not all what you see in the 8 Mile movie (that’s the rougher, rundown old parts). Since that movie Detroit, the actual city it’s self and it’s surrounding ares have gone through many renovations and looks nothing like when I was growing up. Don’t ever be afraid to visit Detroit. You will quickly realize why so many celebrities and sports players prefer to stay in their home town of Detroit. I myself appreciate that Eminem has stayed here and unlike many people loaded choose to not show it.

Can you please give an advice,what web pages i should look through if im from another country but really start planning to move to Michigan. Is it better to build a house in these two areas what you've mentioned or it's much better purchase already built one? Maybe some advice from you az a local person, are there any problems if foreign people moving to Detroit,I mean English is not a problem but i wonder if there anh nationalities wich wont be accepted? Actually im interested in your comment because i really liked the area on videos i looks beautiful, nature is great, and as far as i understood it's a safe place. Thank you.
