They just want more representation. And in this case you're playing the victim, because wanting representation is never a victim role. I love how you can see the light from all the windows, but the space feels like you're in the shade, the warm color on the walls, darker furniture with rich fabrics, gold tones and putting the furniture in the center make you feel enveloped in a lux, yet comforting space. Harder to do than it looks!

I grew up in a home that we weren't allowed to walk through our formal living room + I wasn't allowed to sit on my own bed as it would show wear and mess it up. It's ok. I'm ok. It was a different era. BUT, we LIVE in every room in my home, and we sit on the furniture.

Same! I grew up in that home as well. Couldn't walk on the living room carpet or else it would show foot prints and/or create a path. And boy oh boy, we all fell into line. Never entered the living room.

Funny I was brought up the same way. We were only allowed to sit in the living room when company came, otherwise the den. Weren’t allowed to use the dining room table only for guests or at Christmas. Parents both died and all that furniture I could not sit on went to Goodwill. It could have been sat on.

@@darlenechandler2403 Yes the perfectly preserved EXPENSIVE high end furniture my mom hired an interior decorator to deck out the formal living + dining room that we only used on holidays or special occasions was given away! There were some really pretty huge table lamps marble + crystal, everything in those rooms was so gaudy, looked like it belonged to Liberace or should be in a palace. So sad when we had the estate sale to see it go. None of the family wanted it.
