This is not necessary. It will not prevent tourists from traveling to Ghana. Moreover, French is not our official or local language. UK airports signs are only in English and yet, the country attracts foreign tourists. Tamale airport, English and local language why not.

In September 2014, work commenced on the upgrade and expansion of Tamale Airport to International status. The development was in two phases. The first phase involved the upgrade and extension of the runway from 2438m to 3940m, construction of a new Apron and taxilink, rehabilitation of existing apron and the installation of Aeronautical Ground Lighting Systems. The project was commissioned August 2016 to coincide with the first flight for the 2016 Hajj Pilgrimage to Mecca. So shut up

So, airport construction occurs in stages. Currently this airport will serve less than half a million pax annually. But when this pax is exceeded or gets close to that another terminal will be added. That makes economic sense. The airport facilities (like the runway, ILS system, aprons, etc) are all world standard even more than at Kotaka and future-proof) however. Just for analysis, Kotaka has been an international airport since 1960 but it was only in the last two decades that it reach a million pax handling annually and thus the expansions in recent years.

I see some NDC faithfuls doing their usual thing 😃 They are here again with their new communication strategy of tagging every completed project as a project begun by Mahama. In fact if God had not made it clear in the Bible that he completed His creation on the sixth day and rested on the seventh day, the NDC would have laid claim to any scientific discovery in nature as Mahama's uncompleted creation. 😂😂😂 The project manager was very clear on the date of the award of contract as 2019 yet the NDC faithfuls still want to make it a Mahama uncompleted Project. The Phase 1 which was the extension of the runway was done in 2016 under Mahama This is the Phase 2 and it was started and completed under Nana Addo. It was not started by Mahama and left for Nana Addo to complete it so please my NDC faithfuls stop lying. The Phase 3 is yet to be tackled. If a new president comes to start it and completes it, that will be to the credit of that president and not Mahama or Nana Addo. Let us learn to give credit where credit is due and stop this annoying propaganda.

@@frankodilon5807 THE NEW TERMINAL 3 IS ABOUT 44,000 sq metres and the TAMALE is about 7,500 Sq metres plus other infrastructure around the airport.Having said that I think the Contractor DUPED the Ghana Government.For $70million dollars,the terminal should have been at least 15,000 Sq metres and NOT 7,500 Sq metres.
