I grew up in a baptist church that did only hymns. As a child I was bored by them. Now, I love to hear them, especially with a large choir. I especially love how clear the message of Christ is in most hymns. Today, most Christian songs seem like canned music and more focused on the melody than words that are based on God's word. God's word is powerful when spoken and when sung.

Im sick of all of it. I dont want to hear another worship song or hymn as long as I live. I think God feels the same way. If your spouse spent 6 days a week cheating behind your back with everything that moved and then wanted to cook you dinner Sunday evening and sing songs of romance and faithfulness over coffee youd lose all taste for it as well.

Thanks for this video. I was saved under MacArthur's teachings. Amazing that he took 43 years to cover the NT. He did so verse by verse. I live on the East Coast and one day, if the Lord wills, I will go hear Dr. MacArthur and fellowship with the Saints.

O Ron, thank you for this „treat“! Such a large Christian family, celebrating church in love and unity, focused on Christ alone, well fed by their faithful shepherd and caring pastor, I ask myself: „Is this for real or am I dreaming?“ Yes, it is for real! It’s so good to finally hear and see Grace community Church is congregational singing. I look forward to more of this recorded from their professional sound person instead of a camcorder. Although it was still very nice. I can only imagine how nice the quality would be if it were recorded by their sound person. What a great music ministry it would be to offer it to people along with Pastor John’s teaching.

Karen Otte please Karen, pray about this. John MacArthur is a Vatican apologist... Everybody needs to know this! The whole world is drunk on the doctrines of Babylon! INCLUDING and ESPECIALLY the visible Christian church. PLEASE if you can sense the deadness of the institutional churches and different ministries but can't put your finger on it. I'm pleading with you to understand something very important here. The mainstream Christian system is not of God. Rev 17:5 - "Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots, And Abominations Of The Earth." Mystery Babylon The Great is the Vatican - “And the woman which thou sawest, is that great Citie which reigneth ouer the kings of the earth.” - Rev 17:18 And she has harlot daughters which represent the protestant churches. And “the Abominations Of The Earth” are corrupt scriptures. And the final bible that will unite all faiths is called Wormwood/the Abomination of desolation. cvillebiblebaptist.com/AdultEducation/Vatican%20and%20United%20Nations%20Bible.pdf And Jesus Christ is calling His people out. Rev 18:4 “And I heard another voice from heauen, saying, Come out of her, my people, that yee be not partakers of her sinnes, and that yee receiue not of her plagues:” The most important thing to understand is that GOD CAN BE TRUSTED to preserve His word for every generation forever as He promises us in Psalms 12:6-7 and you do not need men to teach you. 1 John 2:27 “But the anointing which ye haue receiued of him, abideth in you: and yee need not that any man teach you: But, as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is trueth, and is no lye: and euen as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” It’s vital to know, especially right now, that God has kept His word in tact. There is still an every word testimony with us! The following clip by Reg Block is what the Lord used to open my eyes to the truth of Gods promises in Mark 13:31, Psalm 12:6-7, Psalms 138:2, and Matt 4:4 and so on. It’s not more lifeless information. It is powerful and life changing and I’m grateful for it! kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnKwgKSrrraoY5o The next video is a lesson by John Doerr on the pure word of God in the English language, which is found in the av1611 kjv. This is a much different testimony than the King James bible you are able to easily find in the churches and the so called "Christian bookstores". Please pray and genuinely take this before the Lord. He will show you. (Prepare to be attacked once you start down this path) The devil and his ministers don’t want this going out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWrPeoqahpWlmZI I prayed a long time to know what the truth was, because over the years I grew increasingly confused, frustrated, misguided and so on.. But like most of us, I kept returning to church Sunday after next hoping something would change. If I sang more, prayed harder, got more involved, etc, ...maybe something would give. But nothing ever did. I must have walked a thousand isles. It had gotten to a point where a friend at the time said, “just try and sing". He meant well, but it was always disingenuous so I never did. Long story short - my whole Christian life was that way until recently. (powerless) God has since opened my eyes and I trust Him alone. I really hope this reaches somebody. If this is you... honestly, please look into what I’m saying. God is rich in mercy and His patience is unmatched. He's been drawing me for a long time. Maybe He’s drawing you too and this is the message you needed. This link is a series of interviews between Reg Block and John Doerr that go in depth regarding Johns trip to England for the purposes of co-producing three films: A lamp in the dark, Tares among the wheat and A bridge to babylon. The three films (free to watch), cover the history of the bible. More specifically the preservation of Gods word and the measures that have been taken to cast doubt on, and ultimately destroy it. (it's a treasure of information for the Saints) - find the first interview to start on. kzbin.info/door/IfGUbjTsGu1dfoNqYUZzmgvideos here is one very final clip on the "servants of Lucifer" kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqa5hZ-PjtSmZsU "(if it were possible,) they shall deceiue the very elect.” It’s imperative to understand that the av1611 is much different than the 1769 KJV that most believe is the true 1611 but is not. The KJV only movement doesn’t use the authorized version of 1611 either. This is the bible that Rome has been trying to destroy and cast doubt on since its inception. Everything, from the gun powder plot to false rumours of King James being gay. It contains all the prophecies in tact. Things like, what is the mark of the beast, what is wormwood, who and what is Antichrist, who are Leviathan and Behemoth representations of, and so on. John Baptized me in 1970! We had to go to a different church because we didn't have a baptistery. I accepted the Lord the night we studied Rev. 3:20. I had never heard that verse before and didn't know how popular it was! That was April 26, 1970 and I was with Nick and Janie Breit. Those were the good ole' days at Grace, right John? How I thank God for the solid foundation you gave me for this wonderful long walk I've traveled with Jesus. You are my family, and have always been first in my heart .... Right next to The Lord. I am in Roswell, New Mexico now. Please stop or call when in the area, I would love to see you. Say hi to Patricia. The Lord is soon to return and it is hard to not get totally excited! How ever, and whenever He comes will be a day of rejoicing. John, you are approaching 79 in June, and I am 73 in September. Where does the time go? I had a wonderful year teaching 4th, 5th and 6th graders, which spilled into our whole church! Needless to say my joy is watching the whole church grow! John, thank you again for your teaching. And by the way, for having Walter Martin come to the church also for that one week seminar! That really helped for the continual battle I encountered through the years with educating the church on discernment of the cults, etc. and, due to studying Revelations the night I accepted the Lord into my life, I have been a watchman. Prophecy has always been exciting. See you here, there, or in the air...soon. Auntie Jay Bird, or Jay Madruga/Shelton. Email me back if possible.....thanks and bless you all!

Hi Jay I'm the one who uploaded the video, Ron... Being a mature Christian is better than anything this world has to offer, and it sounds like that's what you are. You have an interest in Eschatology according to your post and I for one appreciate that... First know that we would have great fellowship in Christ Jesus, so what I'm about to say is not a shot fired your way at all. My question to you is, within Eschaton, do you think Grace's position is spot on? I would urge you to question what you've been taught about the rapture. There are many unanswered questions from the teaching of pretrib rapture. I'm not picking on John but it's hard even think he and many others would be teaching error on this one doctrine. My challenge to you: without reading any commentaries, find any text in your John MacArthur study bible, (no peeking at his notes) where the church will be raptured before the Great Tribulation. I am neither a mid, nor post tribulationist...if this is a challenge to you and you don't mind, I have many many more questions I can ask you. Have fun brother...
@jayshelton27656 жыл бұрын
Ron Martinez. I don't think you read my salutation ....my name to my neice's is auntie Jay Bird. I'm a lady. Lol. And I will give you something to chew on. When Christ returns at the end of the Tribulation, he proceeds to separate the goats from the sheep. That is, the non believers from the believers. If the rapture were to be at the end, it doesn't make sense to go up and turn right around and come back. And for what reason? All of the sheep will have gone up. And all of the goats are left standing there. No separation would there be for Christ to do. Also in Rev. 3:10 He says that He will keep us from the hour of temptation. He will keep us "from" His wrath. And there is more. Look up harpazo and raptura in Strongs concordance. Also check out IIThes. 2:3. The word "falling away" there means rapture or departure away. Ok?
@Getwhiskied6 жыл бұрын
I apologize for that mistake, did not realize what I did... My question, and you might want to kick me for this, go ahead, give a text that says the church will be raptured before the Great Tribulation.
@jayshelton27656 жыл бұрын
Ron Martinez. a "rapid departure" could mean...to heaven and not from the church a so many have taught. The context of that verse Is talking about, "before" the Tribulation. And the separating of the sheep and goats would either be a pre-trib rapture or a mid-trib Scenario.

Wow, this was so awesome! Thanks for this upload brother. I've watched many John Mc Arthur sermons and seen the chairs behind him and where the choir would stand always wandering what the Worship service was like. I thought it was quite interesting how the conductor subdued the pending rapturous applause that was about to come forth, perhaps to deflect glory given to the musicians and rather to our Father. Love to you all.

Actually, if you really want to know, it is an old building. If you look closely you will notice that the pews are older that I am, really old. The building sits right on the blvd, so there is no street parking. Because they removed the foyer to allow for more seating, there is no place to enter unless you want to be in the sanctuary. You are either outside or inside. The facility would have been long bulldozed by most of the "saddleback" type churches for sinner comfort. Not here.

If the scriptures are broken, the prophets are killed and the church can’t hear what the Spirit is saying. freely ye haue receiued, freely giue.” Matt 10:8

Opinion holds no authority. Bible Exposition does, because it takes "opinion" out of the equation. MacArthur doesn't just give an opinion - he explains exegetically what the Bible means by what it says. That is objective, not subjective - and leaves the guess-work out of it. As for the "CC"...so they're just as wrong now as they were back then...nothing new there.

I listen to John MacArthurs teachings. Great bible teacher but I don't necessarily agree with the whole objections to Christ centered modern music. I do agree we need to be selective but this seems more of a personal preference to me not scriptural. They are singing songs here with music. Just an opinion but I do still love his teachings
@Streetfisher6 жыл бұрын
david korb no objection to modern new music. The older I've gotten the more attached to great hymns done with a good touch. I'm not an organ type guy bit don't mind it. I like Red Mountain church type of music, but it's just a personal preference. The closer to biblical doctrine the song gets, usually the better I like it.

I don't recall any verses in the Bible saying anyone ever clapped to the Lord Jesus Christ or Moses or any prophet or Paul or any other of the apostles, right? Isaiah 42:8: "I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another...". So sad that a brother in Christ would acept the praise of other men. The angel sepaking to John would not accept any praise! And he was an angel from Heaven! Please brother pastor J M let's go back to the real reformation! Reformed teaching, reformed practice, reformed worship! SOLI DEO GLORIA, remember?
@Streetfisher5 жыл бұрын
R Ramirez Have you ever been to a Jewish celebration? There is more than clapping when they celebrate in God, not Christ, all the thankfulness they have in Him for whatever they are celebrating. Besides, I think you need to chill on this . There is nothing in scripture to prohibit a thankful heart that is expressed through clapping...right?

Just in case you actually care Mr. C, I'll give you an opinion to answer yours...why clap? You would have to ask each individual why they clap...its not a sin to clap, it an expression of thankfulness that most people there seen to feel. For what things do you clap, is that worship? Why a Bible with his name? Association that's all...the versions are not his, just the notes. I own one but don't even use it, I have a Cabridge ESV. Far better for what I look for in a Bible. And also his notes are lock step with DTS...im not too agreeable on some issues. But hey, Mr. C, allow people to appreciate someone outside your comfort zone...thanks, Ron

What does "DTS" stand for? I am not familiar with that. I have a John Macarthur study Bible and I use it a lot. I greatly respect his commentaries in it. He explains so well. (though it is not my only study bible with commentaries. I also use other study Bibles with commentaries) Thanks for putting this up. Bigger churches like GCC tend to have ministries to avoid the "concert" mentality. You're meant to go tu small group, Pastor John tends to make Q&As with open mics for ppl to talk to him, and there's a plurality of Elders, with a bunch of godly men taking care of the Church. As for money, remember that every Christian gives voluntarily bc they love Christ and the Church. Big churches are not less godly for being big, and small ones are not more godly for being small

@mpetershat11 жыл бұрын
Okay. I thought he makes altar calls after each service so I was wondering where the Altar was. I am glad he doesn't because Altar calls are not Biblical. Do you call listening to man speak his opinion of the truth for 40 minutes worship? He has no more Authority than you or I do.. True worship of God is to eat his flesh and drink his blood. If you do not do this, you have no life in you. Read Justin Martyr's letter to the Roman Emp. in 155 AD. The same worship as the CC today.

Reread your post. MacArthur is right. He is objective. Everyone else that does not believe like him is wrong, and subjective. The Church is right. The Church existed 350 years before the Bible did. How were these people saved? There is no guess work because the Apostles explained in person, to the Church, what they were teaching when they were alive. It does not need interpreting. The Apostles did it themselves 2000 years ago. The Church created the Bible to help her teach.
@Pantele411 жыл бұрын
What a stupid question. Who needs an altar, except those who think they need one in order to experience the emotional fuzzies they've been told are tantamount to spiritual experience. Altars were an Old Testament utensil God used for a specific purpose....and only revived during the Finney years when the church at large forgot that God was sovereign and elevated man's will to the level of determinative regarding salvation.

hate him? I don't hate him at all.. he's a good teacher of the Word.. on most topics.. I just think it's funny how he slams new age worship because and says that any church that does not have only an organ and hymms is only inviting goats into the church.... so tell me.. how many 20 year olds do you see driving down the street rocking out to The Who, The Cars or Frank Sinatra? none of them do.. they want music from their own day.. not from 40 to 50 years ago.. young Christians that prefer a guitar and drums are NOT fake Christians... hmmm.. maybe the elderly that threaten to leave a church if they bring in a guitar or drums are the goats for only wanting organs and nothing else

Not keen on the mega-church concept, even if it isn't prosperity WoF or Bethel style NAR. The whole point of church is to meet in manageable congregations so that the flock can get to know each other and support one another practically. This is an audience that meets to just face the front the enitre service, not a congregation of fellowshipping worshippers and believers who can talk to all present. JM is also an idol to many attendees and won't hear a bad thing against him, even when warranted. Idol worship is discouraged in the Bible strongly and Elders are meant to hold pastor's to account, just as congregants are meant to. Yet I doubt very much if that happens here. JM is too revered to be criticised. He's a sort of American Pope like figure. That is definitely ungodly. There is in only one hero in this story -The Lord Jesus Christ. His name should not be used to feather nests or prop up idol substitutes. The worship is nice enough here. None of that rock music or pop style worship which I hate so much. All the same, it is not in the same league as UK church choirs, which are truly magnificent. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZCykIaIrMerq7c
