Inside Jared Frank's Silver Lake, Los Angeles Apartment

When Jared Frank first moved to LA over a decade ago, he stumbled across an estate sale in a Silver Lake, Los Angeles apartment filled with jewel-toned trompe l’oeil frescoes by Lance Gaylord Klemm, the previous tenant. Frank signed the lease that day. Since then, he has spent years creating a dialogue between the murals and his own interior design resulting in a theatrical and maximalist space.

So fortunate that someone both talented and respectful took over this apartment so that the quirky art and history of the previous owner was not lost but rather added to in a way that makes the space new and livable. I think that takes humility and real skill. I love the result and appreciate the chance to see this unique home. Thank you.
