Carlo Crocco founded Hublot, but Biver is definitely responsible for the success the brand has seen in recent years. He is a bit of a marketing genius and is very passionate. Nico has a point that quite a few watches produced by the brand (especially their $20k and under watches) are not a great value proposition when you consider the movements, materials used & costs of manufacturing. I have however also seen extremely complicated well finished pieces at the higher end of what the brand sells. Nobody should be embarrassed to wear what they like. Just do your research.
