Have you ever seen someone speak with such passion for watches? Such an energetic guy, Biver is. It's refreshing to see a seasoned collector and connoisseur with a truly one-of-a-kind classic collection wearing something slightly ridiculous like the Big Bang. It shows that he simply loves watches and not just the elitism and snobbery that often follows.

Coming back to this video in 2024, those 'masterpieces' he talks about at 11:16 are actually pretty good value on the used market. They're probably not popular because the cases are small, but they're gorgeous watches. Seems like a bit of a shame how Swatch has handled Blancpain since they acquired it. It seems like the brand has had difficult times at least since this video was released, which is 10 years ago now.

Just to put it into perspective, his dog is sleeping (and slobbering and worse) on a pure silk Persian rug with a ridiculously detailed pattern... I conservatively estimate that that rug alone would be worth something in the 6 figure range. If it is a notable maker or is older than 50 years, then it would be considerably more expensive.

I never had anything more expensive than a basic Casio in my life and don't really understand the "passion" for watches that cost tens, hundrets of thousands or millions. The watches this gentleman has are even visually mindblowing, just wow.

I am a failure - At one of the lowest points in my life ... Yet this great man Mr. Biver made me smile several times with his smile - His passion - His knowledge - His collection ... I even smiled when I saw his dogs :) I bet even his pets have a passion for the ultimate Horological rarities and masterpieces and love Patek ;) On that table are tens of millions of dollars worth of Grail watches ... And here I sit alone in the dark trying to talk myself out of committing suicide. May God forgive my sins and have mercy on my soul. *** One last thing before I go. This Genius Mr. Biver reminded me of a quote by Winston Churchill that goes something like this : I am not hard to please - As I am easily satisfied with the best ***

The biggest name in mechanical watches. The rejuvenation maestro of elite brands and everything we know about watches these days. I'm melting with nostalgia and sheer awe as I type this.

Great job; true icon of the industry. Collecting your competitor’s product - fantastic. I think his dogs have heard all these stories before - they were bored.
