Ale, every time I watch your videos I'm amazed that you only have 6k subscribers. Keep up the super video quality, and soon you will get more recognition. You're one of my favorite travel vloggers since you go off the beaten path and try to experience the local culture and meet people in remote, unknown parts of the world. Keep it up!!! ❤ 💯

5:25 I think that the meaning of Petra doesn't come from Classical Greek 'Petre' (rock), but from Bat-Ra. In Arabic the place is called Al Batra. Bat is related to Bait or Beit and Bet (in Hebrew), meaning House or Family. It can also mean 'daughter'. Ra is the name of the god. So 'Al Bat Ra' means 'The house of Ra' i.e. The Temple of the God-King. The word Ra is releated to the arabic Ar-Rais (King), Rex (Latin for King) and El Re in Spanish. This may refer to the origal Ka'aba that is was located in Petra, according to the theories of Dan Gibson. According to Gibson Petra is the original Mecca. In Ancient Egyptian language there is the word 'Pe-Ra' (the word Pharaoh is derived form it), which also means House of Ra. After the fall of the Umayad Dynasty in 750 AD the Abbassid Dynasty came to power and they moved Mecca to Saudi-Arabia where it still is.
