For the 2020 Supercross season Justin Brayton was called back on to join Ken Roczen as a teammate under the HRC Honda Factory team. We met up with mechanic Brent Duffe to go over Justin's bike and the features it has on it. Auxillary starter swtich, custom grips, HRC clamps, works radiators, 450X skid plate, factory chain guide, and more were some of the items we found while talking to Brent. Enjoy the most detailed Pro's Bike video series in Supercross. We have a lot more coming for the 2020 Supercross Season.

I like how brayton is easily satisfied with bikes. Doesn't try to re-invent the thing, just happy to throw a leg over and race.

Hell no! No where near that! You are looking at 40k MAX! You think they have a reverse flux capacitor in there??? Haha 😄 The Factory MAKES most of the parts, and these motorcycles don't have anything that we've never heard of before...a motorcycle is a motorcycle - just these factory bikes are way more refined! Now I've never had the chance to ride a factory dirt bike, however, I have rode an older MotoGP bike and although it was amazing, the thrills from dumping the clutch and tucking in remained the same, dragging the knee and hitting the apex didn't change in the slightest, nor could you just drop all of your technique, skill, and concentration etc. etc. Anyways, most would be quite disappointed from riding factory bikes. They are not some unicorn that can increase how good you ride. Sure, there are advantages with factory bikes like suspension, power and higher over-rev, comfort & feel, handling and more, but it will not vastly improve anyone's ability, but will improve it just enough to be better than the opponents' machines cause in a race where everyone is fast and in shape, every tenth of a second counts! Have a blessed day peeps. Also, by no means am I trying to say anyone is ignorant or lacking knowledge! 💯 Because I have been known to be described as those two adjectives before, and I'm just going by personal knowledge and experience (which is more than some, and less than many - ie experienced/intermediate, or you could say AVERAGE?) and by word of mouth from others. Don't want to come across as a cocky arsehole, because we can always learn more, and share more when it comes to our sport. I was also surprised when my friend bought A-kit Kayaba forks as they were insanely good, just not 8k good! Ya feel me? -still want to save up and buy some! Hahahaha

I would think peak hp wouldn’t be far off at all. The meat of the power band would be beefed up for sure. Also stupid amount of money dropped on suspension. Apart from engine and suspension, bikes seem pretty close today. I know those are big differences though.

@jonathondavis170
@jonathondavis170 2 жыл бұрын
Well typical works transmission systems are 3 or 4 spd transmissions... and that's about all we'll ever know, unless we end up working for a race team one day, whether it be through engineering - research & development, mechanical technician, or racing itself. And then it would no longer be fun to KNOW the information, as we will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement and have to keep it with us for many years or a lifetime...just like my security clearances when I worked in the US Military, and then in Federal Civil Service - you are at risk for many nasty repercussions if you give up protected information, in any field of work! I'd HATE to pay that kind of fine for Racing tactics, engine modifications, suspension settings/modifications etc. LMBO

@80smxpro41
@80smxpro41 4 жыл бұрын
@@alexandrakingi8502 Not really. They're are very few modern racers who can properly ring out a two stroke. I know ET3 can ride the shit out of one but Ryan Dungy sucks on them. Then again if you were to drop Hannah, O'Mara or Ward on today's bikes back then they would not be as fast on them as today's guys. You ride them completely different.
@80smxpro41
@80smxpro41 4 жыл бұрын
@@mctigmctiggy1475 I think the Japanese manufacturers killed themselves by doing away with 2 strokes. Pro's today can even win enough money to pay for the parts and gas to the races. I wish I would have gotten off the bikes sooner and persude auto racing like some of the other guys did. You can make way more money. The only people really making a good living are factory guys and Feld. Everyone else is making shit.
@80smxpro41
@80smxpro41 4 жыл бұрын
@@mctigmctiggy1475 I guess you're missing the point. They don't pay us shit unless you have a factory ride. I had factory "support rides" and all that covered was bikes and parts. Also had gear, tires, chain, suspension and so on. So basically I only paid for entry fees and gas for my box van. That said today I live in pain from all the injuries over the years and lots of arthritis throughout my body. When you're in your 20s and the doctors warn you about it you don't think it will be too bad. Wrong it's fucking brutal pain. So for riders to go out and ruin their bodies and get paid shit is wrong. Supercross and TV rights? Come on every rider making the night show should get a piece of the gate and TV revenue. The sport would be pretty boring if all you had were 15-20 factory riders. These guys need a union and this is coming from a guy who hates unions.
@80smxpro41
@80smxpro41 4 жыл бұрын
@@mctigmctiggy1475 I agree. That being said as adult who sees what other athletes in the world are making I now see that what they're paying us to risk life and limb is terrible. Yeah I loved it and would not take it back but I can't believe how badly they're paid.
