The carpet was a bad choice, I'll give you that. But how can we be sure that she didn't take out a coloring table, a doll house, etcetera for the tour? She wants it to look "tour ready" as my boss would say. Don't get me wrong, I don't thank the gods everyday for the existence of the Kardashians and Caitlin Jenner. But I do admire Kim Kardashian's decision to use her celebrity status to push for the release of wrongly-convicted prisoners and I think that if she has the heart to do that there may be hope for her siblings and parents.

@Jonathan Bowen Literally all of what you just mentioned are the most common things that children do. There are some stains that cannot be removed, even with "modern cleaning products". Some concentrated juices or liquids CANNOT be removed sometimes. Especially on white surfaces. The material of the furniture also plays big role on how hard it is to remove a stain. A child's main priority is to play, not to be worrying about leaving a mess behind. That's the last thing a child thinks about. No matter how many times she tells them to be careful, they won't be careful. Especially when they have friends over. She has 3 kids, plus let's say each kid brings over 3 or 4 friends. How do you know the other kids will be careful as well? My whole point of this is that this room is not kid-friendly and that it's all staged for the cameras. Yes, the playhouse is very very nice and it looks really good. But all the toys and furniture were only put there for display. And not because there aren't any screens, but because children don't play with those toys. People aren't "jealous" of her. It's just the truth, that apparently you don't seem to see. Either you don't have kids, or if you do, you have no idea what you're doing.

If you actually get into the design/architectural elements of this “box” it really does benefit anyone who steps inside. The open high ceilings, the white colors parallel to the woods, the windows covered all over the facade of room. It really emphasizes the natural light from the outside along with the natural elements that surround the structure. These things really do benefit the mind and the way you think. I think it’s a great place for kids to play in! :)

Aww poor Kourt! It's really nice you're trying to include your kids in the process. As a teacher, I would take away the rugs and the couch and mickey and Minnie (keep that for you since it's yours anyway). Keep the upstairs as the cozy area. Add magnetic paint on one wall with different magnets that you can change out. Then another wall as a chalkboard. Third wall as a big mural of paper that they can draw on and change out often so they feel like they can "write on the walls." I have more ideas, please hire me!!! 👩🏻‍🏫🙋🏻‍♀️🥰

Just wanted to point out that when publications or channels like AD feature someone’s home they often have someone go in and style the place. So sometimes that involves steaming curtains, spot treating sofas, removing items of reality that may make the place look cluttered in a photo, or even adding in styling elements that aren’t actually there day to day. Think the Dakota Johnson limegate. The reason why these celeb homes all look so streamline and clean isn’t just because they have the means and the extra hands to keep it looking great, but also because they need to be uniform enough with each other as they’re being featured by the same publication. Everything is all about branding and at the moment a clean modern aesthetic with little clutter is in the homes on AD will fall in line. I understand what everyone is saying when they mention the place doesn’t have a lived-in feel like the average house, but being a Kardashian with their home feature on AD is not an average situation. Just some food for thought. No hate to people commenting that!
