Love my Lakewood M-1. It was the most basic model they made, but it's still incredible. So well made, and has a bone nut and saddle, ebony bridge pins, etc.. top quality stuff!

I was thinking about getting a good guitar a couple of years ago and talked about it with a guy while at a guitar workshop. My plan was to save for a year and buy myself something high quality for my birthday. He said no, buy it now, a good guitar will give more back and encourage you to play more. I chewed it over for a couple of weeks after I got home and then bought myself a Lakewood M18CP. And he was absolutely right. I made two great decisions that day, to buy a good guitar straight away and to make it a Lakewood. Just opening the case before playing it still makes me think wow. It really is a thing of beauty. And the way it plays? Just as beautiful. Well, in better hands than mine anyway : ) I really don't think Lakewood are expensive, not for what they offer in the way of quality and sound. Divide that price by how long you'll have the guitar, the hours of pleasure you'll get from it and it becomes a bargain. If you're thinking of buying one, just do it, you'll never regret doing so.

A few years back, after my visit on a Friday with Martin and his team showing all their enthusiasm and professionalism, coming from their hearts and a true belief in their vision, I strongly felt the wish to become a part of this family. Now I can feel (and hear) this "umbilical cord", Markus is mentioning in the movie, every time I hold my M-14 Custom ("Schneeflöckchen") in my hands... Nice movie showing exactly the spirit and magic behind Lakewood Guitars.

Also als Gitarrist und ehemaliger Schreiner bin ich voll der Ästhet. Die Gitarren sehen traumhaft aus. Kann absolut nicht verstehen, wie man mit einer Gitarre so umgehen kann wie Wallis Bird es tut. Für mich absolutes NoGo! Schon aus Respekt vor der Arbeit des Meisters der sie gebaut hat, würde ich eine Lakewood niemals so derb behandeln. Ddshalb bekommt meine Gitarren nur jemand in die Hand, der denselben Respekt für das Instrument aufbringt wie ich. By the way, tolles Video uber tolle Gitarren und tolle Handwerkskünstler. Ja das sind nicht nur Handwerker, Gitarrenbauer sind Künstler!!!😍👏👍👌

Wallis Bird ist ein schönes Beispiel🙃 eine wunderbare Künstlerin mit einer unfassbaren Bühnenenergie. So sehr wie sie sich auf der Bühne einbringt so sehr müssen auch ihre Gitarren arbeiten😅 aufgrund eines Rasenmäherunfalls als Kind fehlen ihr dazu an der Strumming Hand noch ein paar Fingerglieder. In Kombination damit, dass sie eine Rechtshandgitarre linksherum, „falsch herum“, spielt, schlägt sie sich regelmäßig die Finger an der Hohen E-Saite blutig. Wobei ich auch wirklich erstmal schlucken musste als ihre eine Gitarre zum Checkup kam bei der sie die Decke mit goldener Farbe aus der Dose abgesprüht hat. Das war/ist wild😂 Liebe Grüße und weiterhin viel Freude mit der Musik Johannes

Ein schönes Video. Über die Werkstattschau habe ich mich dann erst recht für eine Lakewood custom made entschieden. Würde ich heute wieder. War mehr als überzeugend. Und diese Vielfalt ist einfach überwältigend. Kann jedem, der sich für eine Lakewood entscheidet vorher auch eine Werkstattbesichtigung empfehlen. Da gibt es nochmal den richtigen Input. Super!

Ahhh, Ich habe eine Natural Series seit etwa 8 Jahren, kein Cutaway, dicker Hals. Mache 013er drauf, Killer für Rhythm Plays but acoustic open chords yayyyyy. Ich liebe diese silberne Birke, sie hat solch einen silbernen Sound. Du, meine Lady, ich liebe Dich, Du schöne Form und Ton,......Yer ain't a Taylor but You're what you are, simply beautiful an appearance mon Grande Dame, my pleausre, moin thick neck,..........Yayyyyyy

It is padouk, also known as African rosewood , it it similar to rosewood but tends to have maple-like treble

It is arguably the best steel guitar I know. Your arm is not so thin, to the exact extent. Steel guitar can not be like electric guitar because its use is more of utmost importance for solos. So it has so fine arms, in case acoustic guitar has to have a wider measurement due some appropriate tones pro style ..

Gallen Dior As far as I know, you design your guitar there and then take your design to a registered Lakewood dealer, who will order it for you. You can't order at Lakewood directly.

I just purchased one and I'm having a lot of technical issues with it. I got a J-50 CP and it has a lot of dead spots and short sustain issues. Though I still believe this is really a great guitar.
