I lived in Chicago 1989-1997. Lester Holt WAS the news!! So very watchable, the voice and most importantly I could understand what he was reporting or commenting on. Never talked down or over complicated. He wants to get the news out to everyone in an understandable way because I think he wants people informed. Anyway every advancement and accolades he's gotten he really deserves.

I have the upmost respect for Mr Holt. I was a soldier in Iraq (2003-2004) There we got glimpses of American corespondents, and boom! He was in country covering what was going on.!!!! Thank you for your sacrifice for being there with us. Godspeed 😅

I wonder whether Holt knows what it is like to try to live in most states now on $15/hour. I doubt it. His news programs, like those on all the networks, show a lack of understanding of the daily struggles of a large number of Americans. I think he's prettty good on weather-related stuff, though. And he's great at representing the Israeli line. Sometimes something good and relevant does creeep through, though. I mean, if he was doing real news ALL the time, he'd be relegated to KZbin.

Lester has two sons, the oldest one is a weather man,now I read the bio of his oldest and as I scrolled down I got ethnicity and it said “”” CAUCASIAN “” you could have knock me over with a feather.
