Supermodel Linda Evangelista still uses the Birkin bag she selected in an Hermès boutique back in 1985. “I really liked this one, it was on a top, top shelf, and it had dust on it, and they advised me not to take this because they said it was démodé, and I wore it every single day,” British Vogue’s September 2022 cover star recalls in this episode of In The Bag. I'm late to the comment game but here it goes: When Linda recommends something for this or that, you instantly know that she really tried it for a long time and it holds up. The fact that she has the same hairbrush for like 30+ years or something says something and models are very peculiar about their hair.

Her voice is so pleasant. And she is so wonderful to look at. I met her years ago at the Peter Lindbergh shoot in Brooklyn with the other supermodels at the time and I probably just stared in awe at her for the few moments I was in her presence. Evangelista would not remember me if she bumped into me on a busy street but I'd remember her.

I’m so glad she showed the USB-C adaptor. All of these other models were showing their new phones and their old wired earphones. But no one had an adapter in their bag. She had air pods but somehow she also had the adapter. Regarding the Birkin bag, the person who had the most used Birkin bag, I’ve ever seen was Jane Birkin. Stickers on it, scratches. Really used.
