one thing that is often overlooked with these grandiose homes is proximity. They are often stacked tight next to neighbors which is a problem. Imagine spending 7, 8, or 9 figures and having to deal with noise complaints

For $18m though? Built with sandstone and limestone, that mansion is disturbingly overpriced. Those are some of the cheapest buildings materials available for use. No marble, no rare stones of any kind, and no precious metals for lining decor. Seems like the builders are taking advantage to me. Even the areas where you see wood exposed looks like they got it from home depot.
