I thought this years Classic was awesome. It was shame to see a few cars torn up, and not see the battle of JMac and Haudenschild unfold, but watching Veal, Jock, Locky and Dumsney put on a masterclass moving through traffic was worth the price of admission alone. Reutzel was so fast on his preliminary night and again in the feature, he was never gonna be headed. He at the Saller Motorsports team thoroughly deserved the win. Side note your coverage of the Classic in this vid was awesome. Congratulations to you both

Thanks from up here in Montana. Appreciate the coverage and keeping some racing in front of me during the states hit or miss "winter season". 🤙🏻🤙🏻 Also, LOVE the off track footage you get. Brings me back to growing up in and around the pits of midget and sprint car racing. 👍🏻

You guys are raising the interest in the sport. I've always thought a series where a few teams are followed through a season would be pretty sweet. Like drive to survive I guess. When you look at the sport from the outside its unique . Races finishing at midnight and teams packing up in the early hours , cleaning cars in car washes etc to get to the next one. Its a different life. love your work ! Great insights and vision and editing. Looking forward to the next one ! 👍🏻🙏🏻

Awesome work Toby, you are doing a great job. Speedways biggest flaw has always been getting the live event to translate on the TV. This channel is the best at conveying what it feels like to be at the event live that ive ever seen. The classic was a ripper, good racing, good track, good crowd, good food and booze. Im not really sure how it could get much better!

great coverage of the stuff we never see - at 22:15 - what did it mean when he said reutzel "was free and had a 92 on so he needs to stay up near the cushion and get it rotated"?
@SprintCarHub9 ай бұрын
Thanks, mate. 92 refers to the left rear being 92 inches in circumference. As the track slickens off, the car becomes more “free” or “loose”, so less stagger would be ideal. Other cars may have had a 94 inch left rear, meaning less stagger to ensure they were better at the end of the race. Having your right side tyres in the cushion or on the dark dirt will ensure the car isn’t as loose when running on the slicker parts of the track. It’s a balance between being too tight or too loose. Either way, drivers still need to get the car to turn the corner (rotated).

Surprised to see Kraig Kinser there. Let me get this straight. Ridge & Sons hired Eliason to campaign on a National Tour in 2024, to accomodate Reutzel who wanted to be home, race locally (Weekly Knoxville Show) and not travel. Then Reutzel takes off to race in Australia? Right!

Whats the deal with the people not wanting the cameras on ? Just superstition or something ?
@SprintCarHub9 ай бұрын
Superstition or just an unnecessary distraction for them. They’re there to go racing, not film videos. And I get that. -Toby
@boxmat182ify9 ай бұрын
It's a bit ridiculous I think. Every car should really have a camera. How much is a GoPro in the grand scheme of things? If it can provide better footage and better content to help improve the sport, a camera should be mandatory like it is in every other motorspot. F1, MotoGp, Superbike, v8 Supercar World Rally etc not having a camera isn't an option. It doesn't have to be some super high end camera, but a GoPro should really be mandatory.
@rodbritton3609 ай бұрын
@@SprintCarHub In the meantime Formula 1 drivers have cameras in their helmets - yet, a camera on the car is a distraction. There will come a time where a series makes cameras compulsory on every car. There will be b!tching and arguing, but speedway is at least two decades behind compared to other motorsports. And, people wonder why sprintcars can't get mainstream coverage.
@frankisfunny20079 ай бұрын
@@SprintCarHubI get superstition, but the American drivers tend to like having film. That's because they see how they could study the film to make it better for them next time at that track. Especially for that track surface.

And this is the reason i stopped following sprintcars there to stuck up .
@bosco90289 ай бұрын
Why do so many sprint car teams say "NO" to the tiny camera being hooked up? Is it a superstitious thing for them? Or are they just old fossils that can't get with the times? Please don't tell me it is because they think it will slow them down or reveal secrets. Please we are talking sprint cars here not F1. I've never seen that before. Usually in most motorsports especially extremely low profile ones like sprint racing most teams would love to have more exposure and cameras on them to give their sponsors more exposure and get the product out there. How the hell do these old fossils expect to promote the sport and make it more popular if they are saying "NO" to shit like that? Wrong attitude. To the guys that said "YES" without hesitation good on them!
