Inside Louis Theroux’s Backpack | In The Bag

British Vogue presents ‘In The Bag’ with Louis Theroux. The British-American journalist and broadcaster reveals his daily essentials, as we take a look inside Louis Theroux’s backpack. ‘I’m a very prestigious international documentary maker, but what I’m trying to tell you is that I’m a normal person,’ deadpans Louis Theroux. A case in point? The ‘rather unglamorous' contents of the journalist and broadcaster’s bag, which includes dental floss, a spare plastic bag and a half-consumed pack of Sainsbury’s sea salt & vinegar flavoured peanuts.
Other must-haves include his Apple iPhone (‘Jennifer Aniston is probably the most high-wattage celebrity in my contacts’) and his Sony headphones (‘I’ve been listening to a lot of London grime and rap.’) Meanwhile, the fashion essentials he won’t leave home without ranges from a Queens Park Rangers scarf to a Santa Cruz beanie. Saw him in The North Pole pub in Shepherds Bush in 2000 ( or thereabouts) on his own having a pint on the table me and a group of others used to sit at after work. Naturally, we sat somewhere else. Too shy to say hello to him as I was already familiar with his work to that point. The North Pole is now a Tesco and Louis Theroux is still a legend!

I have always had a soft spot for QPR given I am a Glasgow Rangers fan. I can also relate to the chocolate and red wine addiction. I too rake leaves and cut the lawn for excersize but I have Triang Hornby model railways and I sketch cars and stuff for relaxation.
