This looks fantastic, and definitely something everyone should experience once in their life, but when the fresh rose came up I couldn't help but think what incredible resources go into making the trip memorable for one person. Sure, it's ridiculously expensive so it's something 99.9% of the world will never experience but DAMN what a use of resources.

I had the exact same seat, on the exact same flight, to the exact same destination (though mine was back in 2018) and can concur I thought the overall experience was very very good. And I loved the first class terminal experience as well though I just had a shower, and not a bath; maybe next time I’ll try that instead. And finally I got a black duck too! Great review, keep them coming!

I remember working at the miami airport checking the lufty and other airlines food carts for safety reasons. Very nice to see what first class has to offer. Hopefully I get a chance to enjoy that lovely experience as you did. Spectacular video!

Another exceptional flight experience and to experience the 748 plus the renowned ground experience including the Porsche limo - incredible! They absolutely looked after you so well from start to finish…. Don’t take too long in booking another LH F 😉

Love this flight! This & Q suites are my absolute favorite flights I've taken in the past year. However, I do agree that it's a shame about the privacy. I'll have to check out the first class terminal next time!

Hi Will. Love seeing the 747-800. I'm so glad that Lufthansa is still operating them. Great review. 👍💯 Lufthansa First Class checks all of the boxes for me except the lack of a privacy door. Once you've experienced being in your" little cocoon" it's rather hard to go back to "being on show" while sleeping. 🤣. I do understand that some passengers prefer the lack of a door as they feel claustrophobic in a suite. To each his own, of course. Take care and have a pleasant and rewarding week.

Lufthansa is a fabulous airline. Thank goodness they have still got the 747. Apart from the A380 nothing else equals it. It's so reassuring to be in a plane with four engines.

Great review. My wife and I are doing LH first in October to JNB in 1A and 1K. I get that the privacy is not great for a single traveller but I guess shouldn't be a problem for us. This will be our first 1st so looking forward to the whole shebang. We've made sure to get an early flight to FRA to make full use of the 1st Class Terminal. We're taking Swiss on the way back (A340) so will be interesting to compare.

@@xqfwfja1000 I would honestly have to say Lufthansa, but I think mainly due to the poor Swiss catering out of JNB and also that we got to spend 10 hours in the first class terminal at Frankfurt. I intend to try it again one day, but will do it the other way around to make the comparison complete.

I’ve flown first class on a 747 KLM to the Netherlands from Canada what a hoot, treated so well. My favorite airline now. I was amazed how fast your in the air with that amazing plane.

I’ve been fortunate to be on LH first class several times and it’s one of the best, if not the best F classes outside of the Asian and middle eastern airlines. Their ground/transit/boarding service for F class is excellent. Swiss first is also very good. BA forget it.. terrible. I’ve not been on La premier yet, will try that soon. But, in terms of onboard product and food/bev quality I’d have to say SQ, Qatar and Emirates first class are a step above.

I'm absolutely loving your videos. I came across them during lockdown and watched most of your previous ones. Keep up the good work! One day I will get to fly first class. I would totally turn up at the lounge a full 12 hours before my flight to make the most of the experience. But, for now I will just continue to enjoy your videos on KZbin. It is a very dense aircraft. There is almost zero turbulence and it feels very solid in the sky when flying. Definitely try to fly on one if you can.

Thanks for watching Richard. Not sure I agree on QSuites being superior though. They may have a door but have much smaller ‘real estate’ with a cubby for your feet. It’s for sure the best Business Class but it’s not in the same league when you take into account the ground service, food (caviar/steak), bedding and service (just 8 pax) you get on Lufthansa F. Which FC products do you think overall offer a better experience?

Mate I enjoy the reviews but the lack of transparency on how you are able to be flying these airlines in 1st class is becoming more and more of a gripe of mine. Ad revenue doesn’t match up to the “advertised” price on the Skyscanner screenshot you’ve posted, and my previous comments on videos regarding the same subject go unanswered. Why not disclose fully if you pay for the flights, perhaps if they’re gifted or if you’re using miles etc? Even if you’re actually paying for them for the astronomically high prices and running things at a loss to get the viewership up, then why not say this? It would add so much to the review in my opinion.

I flew that flight only in reverse and on United. It was my only first class experience on a big plane. Loved being able to lie down. Looked like the best way to fly. I was on my way to Madrid and on the way from Chicago to Madrid I stopped in Brussels on the way there and Frankfort on the way back. Cool videos. That first class experience looked clean and comfy. Can't believe you were able to take a bath before your flight.

The First Class Lounge is fantastic. Closed for the time being are the cigar lounge with self-pour whiskey and the buffet. Not too bad since you've still got the bar and table service as backup. Those ducks are coveted collectors items of many frequent flyers. They change frequently. Gotta collect them all!! :)

My mouth is watering at not so much the chocolates, steaks, and fancy foods but the German roll or 'brötchen'. They simply cannot be found in the States. Have taken this same route several times to and from Germany where family lives albeit no first class; in economy. One flight from Chicago to Germany my mom and I had to share the 3-seat row with an immensely overweight man who without even asking folded up my mom's armrest just to fit in his seat as well as taking nearly half of my mom's. As for Lufthansa I've never had a bad experience with them. You can count on Teutonic thoroughness.

Lufthansa is one of the BEST European airlines as their international flights have awesome customer service as well as their meal are delicious that comes with salad, main entrees, dessert and beverage. I had the pleasure to fly Lufthansa twice when traveling to Europe but of course I few economy class which was still great as plenty of feet space and comfortable
