I was a student at Marquette 66-70. Gary Brell described it correctly the program was ascending to its peak of success.

When I think of Marquette basketball, I'll always think of Butch Lee first. Not only was he a great college player and leading scorer on the 1977 Championship team, but those uni's they wore were the best.

Gary "Goose" Brell was a smart, nasty defensive player with long hair who protested the Vietnam War on the court. Al didn't mind.
