Okay, I started watching and at the first minute need to make a comment. This man is an artist. Artists have no boundaries and civilization need to bless these people. In art, you might not want their work, but admit it if is capturing, then they did what art should do.

Suuuper dope video. I can honestly feel what he means when he says "That was that" with the old skate shop and not opening a new one. No one can ever recreate his times in that shop with those people. Good feelings all the way around.

just recently my local skate shop just announced its closing , this video hits home , UK Norwich drugstore skate shop, was one of the most important places growing up for so many, as an adult getting into skating in the last few years has opened my eyes to what was there and always has been! the shop has severed the community and will be greatly missed , Sam owner of drugstore reflects, i feel quality's that mike also embodys within skating and its many forms , this was such a great watch and even had me shedding tears towards the end to reflect on my own skate community , thanks for such a great video and heres to all the skate shops out on that grind for what is good in the world , thank you

Mike helped me and a friend out when we visited the shop and we had a fun little conversation over our favorite childhood video parts. I got my sister a tee for christmas and my friend got a hoodie. he leaves that hoodie in his car so he pretty much wears it whenever we go out, so the good memories of the shop still exist with us. need to find that shirt cus i dont think my sis ended up liking it lol. was sad seeing and hearing why the shop closed but im just glad the dude is still thriving and is unbothererd by it

@@piggytrombone thats bullsh**. lotties did nothing for the local skatepark in the area . but shat on it constantly. people at that local skatepark there rode for F.A. and its even nakels local skatepark. lottie didnt know that. and when an altercation happened at the park with a few bad kids , was quick to respond and tell people to never go to the park. and it rubbed nakel the wrong way , because lottie never did anything for the park. thats what happened. i live right between the two.

I just stumbled across this video randomly. Don't know the people involved. But I was curious and looked into it and did a lot of ridiculous reading. The main thing that comes up is this thread "nakel lotties rant." Go to page 50 and you see a "local" giving the story but then a few posts later someone else shows up and calls BS on that story and gives a different story. I think that different story is the right one (just based on a hunch).

iirc Nakel Smith wanted the shop to sell clothes from his new brand A Dream No Longer Deferred. the shop refused, so Nak went on instagram and called the shop racist etc basically baseless claims. so then he posts more negative press about the shop which led to the shop's popularity seeing a decline. I heard stories of kids getting bullied or beat up for wearing Lottie's shirts. and some kids even stole boards (cant confirm it happened though). either way, the impact of Nak's hate campaign in one way or another led to the shop closing. what's silly is Nak's brand is inactive for a few years now.
