Mitutoyo is quality. I have micrometers and calipers and the depth mic. I liked how they grind the depth micrometer bases on the surface grinder.

Mitutoyo's measuring tools are world class, but the storage cases they come in falls short of being quality. I have 2 Mitutoyo micrometers and a 6-inch caliper. The caliper case is hard to open, 2 latches and the micrometers flop around in their cases.
