Very insightful video! You referenced slabs that sell well a few times in the video - would love to hear what types of cards sell fast for you. Also I wanted to know your strategy with negotiations. I see in your videos that you pay a percentage of market - however when I try and do this at shows the vendors tend to be firm on their prices which is close to or a bit higher than market.

Hey man! Thank you for the feedback and I would love to answer your questions! I’ll keep it quick so it’s not too long but next video I will 100% dive more into it. So, first I look for 10’s related to sets that came out not too long ago. 151, Evolving Skies, Paldean Fates, Silver Tempest, etc. Then, using TCG Player .com I look at the highest volume selling cards based on a monthly data graph they have. This allows me to see popularity behind and card which genuinely translates over to 10’s. That’s how I look for cards to buy. The negotiation tactic is really focus on building relationships. Maybe you have to pay higher the first time around or the first time at a show to gain some relationships. That will translate to other vendors and other people at the show and maybe they’re more willing to work with you then. I hope this helps!!!

Hey man, appreciate the transparency you're providing around this hobby and business model. I'm currently trying to make my marking within the business soon. I sent off two decently priced cards to PSA, (One Piece cards) and they're more than likely going to score a 10 for both. With the profits I earn from those cards, I figured I would use the capital and start small by buying clean raw cards (Cards people want) and then getting those graded and build from there. Would you say that buying raw to grade and then flipping is a smart strategy to begin this journey? Also, another question I had, is this your main source of income or is this something that you're doing on the side and hoping to turn into a full time thing? I ask because my friend is also a vendor but with traveling to shows, flying, hotel costs, food, it can add up and those expenses can eat into your profit margins. I would expect that if you wish to be successful with this business you need to constantly be buying and selling. Are you flying to shows or do you do most of your business locally and through social media? Thank you in advance!

Hello man! Thank you so much for the comment!!! To answer the first question I think that’s a great approach. In my last update video I said how I wish I would have learned to grade cards earlier than I did. Now that I know how profitable grading can be it’s absolutely a great business model. What I would do however is sell the two graded cards you get back and do a 70/30 split. 70% spend on cards you want to grade and 30% spend on cards you can use to create consistent business. It will teach you a ton of lessons to start and they will be really helpful 6 or 8 months like me into the business! Also, I don’t do this full time however that is the long term goal. Social media buying and selling is slowly becoming a huge opportunity for me and with that it’s almost like I can go to a show every day! So that really helps. The traveling and expenses like that I’m really not at that level yet so when that starts to be a reality I will make sure I talk about it and how I try to manage it!!! Hope this helps 😄

Are you accounting for fees + shipping as you said you sold a palkia for 70, but bought it for 57.90 and thats a 15% margin?
@MNMLCards
@MNMLCards 3 ай бұрын
Yes so my margin is an averaged among all of my sales. That one was more or less 14% because of shipping but for my excel I factor in: Sales Tax, Transaction Fee (depending on the selling site used), shipping and package cost 💪🔥

Glad I came across this old video, everyone’s experience can help so I appreciate it. I got a question about a shiny charizard on grading and it’s market, there any way I can get in contact through IG or email?
