Inside Northeastern University's underground tunnels

The brutally cold temperatures can make getting around outside difficult in Boston. But if you’re a student at Northeastern University, a series of tunnels can make the walks a little more bearable.

As a student here, I can tell you the tunnels don't go to dorms so you do need gloves and coats

The tunnels are nice but most of the newer lecture halls don’t have these, I would say these only worked for 2/9 of my classes as a health science student.

they don’t go to dorm buildings so they’re really only helpful if you’re going from class to class lol

It takes about 15 minutes to do a 5 minute walk in the tunnels which is probably why nobody uses them

As a former NU student, I can tell you it's NOT that great of a story. We have a new thing called GLOBAL WARMING AND THE INTERNET. Boston has recorded its hottest winters on record for the last 6 years and online education has grown double-fold. It may be time to retire.
