Thanks for posting this online. This is tourist attraction centre, it will be good if Awolowo foundation can set up management committee and people pay whenever they visit the centre. Thank you late Chief Obafemi Awolowo for launching of free education in South West Nigeria.

I saw the Mercedes limousine in 1983 at Amechi, Awkunannaw where Awo had come with Zik and Jim Nwobodo to worship at the local chapel. It was quite a spectacle - the roomiest car I had ever seen.

You children of hate, how many Ibos were able to operate, let alone, held a bank account in Nigeria of 1967? Less than 0000.01 of your entire population according to verifiable records and, they were the Ibos resident mostly in Yoruba land. Yet, all your money, houses, rents , investments , properties etc you owned in Yoruba land were dutifully returned to their Ibo owners in the West and with interests. In my village ; now in present Ondo state, my community and my late Mother in particular accommodated the returning Ibos with free food and housing . ( I remember gentlemen such as Ochare , Zaccheaus ,Janus etc). Chief Obafemi Awolowo did not cause starvation of 2 million children in the East, in fact he saved them from being dead .,, because the food sent for the people of the so-called Biafra by the Federal Government was high jacked by the "biafran " soldiers and made them be strong to continue with the war . But when the food was stopped , the war came to an end quickly and the 2 million children were saved...............wHICH ONE IS BETTER....... Chief Awolowo was not against the Biafrian cause until Biafrians started bringing their was to the West killing and destroying. SECONDLY...
