Awesome video! May I ask a question - at 17:45 I saw you rest your hand on those big caps. I heard they can still hold a lot of voltage even after the device has been turned off for a while? and it's nessecery to sometimes 'drain' them?
@ThriftyToolShed19 күн бұрын
Thanks for your kind comment. It is always best to double check with meter or simply use a resistor etc. to short out to verify the volatge on the caps have dropped to a safe level. Most circuits to have drain resistors to drain the caps within a short time after power is removed, but we should not always trust it for sure!

is it possible to run the original dyson digital v9 motor, 2 pole "230v"? without the original power supply? I would like to make a drone that uses this type of engine.

I tried only once with the 120V version. I should have tried higher frequency supply first. I started with a scr control pulse to see if it would allow any rotation even if really slow, but unfortunately the spare motor I had started letting the smoke out. I don't know much about these SRM or switched reluctance motors. At least I believe that is what these are. I would start with a high frequency pulses 230V in your case if I had to guess. It is 120,000rpm so the frequency must need to be high. I only had the one spare motor for a project I was doing so I ended up buying the cheaper 3 phase BLDC version to finish a project I had. The lower output was ok for me on this project. I shared a couple minutes of these project in the middle part of this last repair video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqeWY4aopdZqq5I

starting around 15:00 there's a lot of very high frequency intermittent whines/beeps in the audio

Hello, this is the control card in the hair dryer. Can it control DC310V fan motors in air conditioners? The air conditioner fan is bldc and is fed by 310v. The card on it was short-circuited and burned. 55w-60w power. It probably runs at 1000rpm.

This board is rated for 120VAC input. I don't believe they are available over 300V.

Are you using 58V DC or AC on the control board you use ?... Is there a 120v DC/AC driver board for this motor to use it's max potential?.... Very cool video btw!

I am having DC in on the BLDC controller board and it converts it to the 3 phase pulses to run it. The higher voltage BLDC controllers are available at up to 20S or 84V, but are pricey. Thanks for your kind comment! Example 20s controller: amzn.to/3xtJgv3

Подделка отлично работает не хуже оригинала, да и в целом цена за оригинал невменяемая

would you say the knockoff is safe to use? and does it have all the protections as the original? how about the wires, are they cheap or good standing? thanks...

The exact one I bought was removed from being sold. It was very cheaply made. No where near the power of the real Dyson. My opinion is I would not trust it. I used part of it for a project I was working on and that worked fine, but overall would not trust it.

13 l of air per sec. Is that a lot?
@ThriftyToolShed Жыл бұрын
Yes! I believe that is the Dyson claim for their V9 motor. It's not as powerful as the Dyson for sure, but I did not test that to be certain. The only way I have to get that would be to fill up a trash bag with the air and calculate the time it takes for the volume. It was a thought of mine to test that on video. I had to cut some things from the video though, it was getting too long. I think I enjoyed looking at it too much. Lol

I hate these Chinese copycat companies. They simply cannot develop anything new on there own all they can do is copy. I would never ever but anything from a copycat company.
@TeamMadcrew5 ай бұрын
unfortunately, whenever a product is contracted to china for manufacturing, they get the design plans and build a copy using cheaper parts. china doesn't recognize international copyrights. this is how china's technology advanced very quickly and cheaply. as for biotech, they test new drugs without the safety protocols required by the FDA. pharmaceutical companies send their R&D to china as well.
