wow this house is not only a master piece but also a true reflection of the meticulous work done by fine urban. my concern is , since tigoni is quite chilly, I never heard you mention of fire places / air conditioners ??

You are absolutely right. Tigoni is very chilly. Fireplaces are installed as part of the last phase as we do the rest of the finishings. Be sure to check out the final reveal of this Mega Mansion.

A well built home is a cornerstone of love A house is not just an abode made with bricks, but is made with the bond of a family Okay imagine that you live in a luxurious house with all the facilities all the comfort in it, but only one thing is missing, FAMILY!!! Will it remain luxurious for you…..will it remain comfortable for you?? The answer is a big fat NO!!!!! But with your family, even if you live in a small rented room…or a slum, then it will be equal to heaven. the thing is, even if you are in a luxurious house, but all alone…..it will be filled with silence, you can’t share your grief, your sorrow, your happiness with anyone, you will have to cry alone, laugh alone. But if you are with the whole family……you can share your every moment with them, every success with them, every happiness with them, every sorrow with them. You cry along with them in bad times, laugh along with them in good times. So “home is where family is” is very true to me congratulations Fine urban interior for delivering the best

Very nice undertaking. It is coming together very well. :) You keep inspiring us. One question/comment: The ceiling of your projects (and in Kenya in general) is often very close to the doors and windows lintels levels. Why is it so? Is it a cultural thing typical to the east of Africa? Here in the west of Africa, we usually have 3.20 to 3.45m (around 11feet) height, floor to ceiling. The main reason being the heat: enough air volume means the heat stays high above the 7ft mark, leaving the room airy and cooler. Keep up the good work and change our common African story, one home at the time.

Thank you for the feedback. Your concerns are noted. We do our construction based on our clients' needs and decisions. In this case, our client preferred the large windows to maximize on light and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding tea plantations.

@fineurbaninteriors , well, I agree that the grills would ruin the aesthetics, but you can easily get away with adding glass railing, with a height of at least 0.8 metres, and still maintain the aesthetic. My concern is not only for the kids, but also for adults. Someone at the 1st or 2nd floor, who opens a window and wants to look out and down, would risk leaning a little too much and falling. The glass railing (preferably on the inside to maintain the exterior facade's design) would help mitigate this. Please consider this for the windows above ground floor. Think of it this way, if you can walk through a window to the other side, then someone could easily fall through.
