I love this idea, however as I am physically disabled, I have started doing a weekly rosary with one friend that helps me at church. We pray the rosary over the phone together. We decided to try it out for October and then she suggested that we continue so that may be a possibility. Thank you for the inspiration.

What a beautiful gift you and your family share by inviting people into your home to pray the Rosary together. A Rosary Potluck has been on my heart for a very long time and after watching in the springtime your video about it and your encouragement we hosted our first Rosary Potluck at our home for the month of May. It was truly a blessing for our family and the people that joined us praying the Rosary for these special intentions. Hours before our Rosary Potluck our dear friend who was planning to join us for this event with his children had a bad accident by falling off a tree and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. We took care of his children and prayed for him especially during our Rosary Potluck. Our Rosary Potluck on that day was truly meant to be, praying the Rosary together. He made a full recovery over the next few months.

Sooo wish we could do this!! I’m in my late 20’s with #3 on the way and will have 3 under 3. As much as we’d love to try this out, I don’t think we could or even our other friends who are in the thick of life with babies and toddlers! Such a beautiful thing though!! I would love to imitate this in my own circle of friends. Right now we practice the rosary circle with my 5 friends who live in different cities. We agreed to say our assigned decade every day at approximately the same time (between 10-11pm) wherever we are every night.

I did this (without the potluck), once a month for a few years, mostly with homeschool families. I hosted first Mondays, and for a time some hosted on the other Mondays. It was wonderful! We called it a Pray & Play. (I blog about it on Homegrown Catholics). Another friend of mine still hosts family rosary every Wed morning, very casually, for I think about 10 years or more. It's a wonderful thing to do, (especially when we opened it up for others to mention their personal intentions). I'm considering hosting a Rosary Potluck again after watching your video!

Awww, thanks very much for sharing with us all that you do to organise this potluck rosary. Sounds so interesting as well as challenging. You make it look so fun. It seems to be so nice to see how you both take it upon yourselves inspite of having your hands full with all your children at h9me. It so lovely to see how your sacrificing to bring people together to say the rosary. God bless you. For the month of October, our BEC have a few members open their homes for the rosary but its not a potluck. I should think of having this practice with 2 or 3 friends first before asking each 9ne of the to bring along a friend for the follwing event.😊

Fantastic. I am on my own. I wish I knew a couple like you in my city. I’m in a small apartment and can’t host. I find being a Catholic pretty isolating actually. It’s sad that I’m closer to my coworkers, who are definitely not Catholics, than other Catholics. 😔

I am sorry you feel alone as a Catholic. Do you have a home parish you can plug into? Volunteering in a ministry can open new doors to connection. You may find some like-minded folks who would join you to spearhead a rosary potluck or even a simpler offering, prayer followed by coffee and cookies. Most churches have space to allow such a ministry to start. If it bears fruit, some others who join may have the space at their homes to take a turn hosting. Lightens the burden. Get creative and start with a small seed, trusting God. Sometimes we need to be the sower and beautiful things take root. God bless.

You can gain a plenary indulgence after a communal rosary by praying an Our Father, Hail Mary, & Glory Be for the intentions of the Pope. I amend it "for the good intentions" of the Pope.

My best friend would invite people over December 31 to pray the rosary, potluck every year. She moved and then quit. We are 3 hours away now I need to start a year friend rosary.

Thank you for this inspiring idea. I am wondering, did you do these potluck events when you had newborns/little babies too? I am really inspired, but I have a toddler and a baby on the way and not sure how you can be hospitable with guests and prepare properly while caring for a newborn. Thank you!

Revelation 3:3 So don't worry about what to eat, drink or wear if anyone cares about these things does not know God but the Father in heaven knows your needs. so you should first belong to the kingdom of God and following his will, He will provide all your needs. Matthew 6:31-32
