Pretty unpopular opinion (actually no one that I know shares the same opinion as me) , I believe inside out 1 was better than the second movie because I kinda like more the story and all because it’s sad and I always cry when I watch it. But anyways, for the colors, I always noticed them being unsaturated ONLY in the end of the movie. Like, when honesty island collapsed. That’s when things started getting I think "serious" and everything became pretty gray and all, just to symbolize the depression that is taking over Riley. And yes, the animation is a lot better. I kinda prefer more the soundtracks in the first movie, it’s because in the second movie they aren’t very linked to the moment. Idk how to explain, unlike in the first movie, the moment when the music is playing, actions are happening and all. Also, most people relate to the anxiety scene and all but I don’t, I relate more to the first movie because I actually kind of got a "depression" when I was in 8th grade, well not that serious but kinda like Riley’s. But I also agree for the dialogues yeah I like more the dialogues in the second movie because we can see the characters interact more and they get more mature and all. Also for Riley’s personality, that’s true she has more personality in the second movie and more expressions? Anyways, this is my opinion, I believe the first movie was better because of the story and the soundtracks, but most people don’t think that and it’s okay. The only thing that I don’t support is that they originally planned a way better story but they changed everything because it wasn’t that "related" to the first one. And inside out 1 was my childhood movie. But when you said it’s basically the same story, I don’t believe so because there a LOT of different things. Just similar because they wanna get back to headquarters and joy is sad at one point. And you’re right about that, I respect all of your opinions. Anyways, the editing was fire you deserve more views.

Damn, I didn't expect such a thorough analysis on my video 😅. When I made this review, I didn't really know what the others thought about which movie is better, I just supposed people rated them as relative, so your comment is pretty interesting in that context. As for the visuals, you're right, it is supposed to be depressing near the end, but, for instance, the lighting in the movie as a whole, could be more interesting. I still think the similarity is there, but it's like, what is there to think of so that it wouldn't remind you of the previous movie? Pixar were kind of trapped in that regard sadly, but I don't really think it's that big of a deal. Anyways, thanks for your comment and the time you have spent on it!

@ yeah you’re right the story is basically the same. There are many similarities when I think about it. They go out of headquarters then they come back. Basically the same, just not the same way. I can also understand for the colors. But if you see the previous Pixar movies before inside out most of them weren’t really that colorful and Pixar’s animation got better with time. And I think if you see and notice the non saturated colors now, it’s more because you saw the second movie but if it never existed, you wouldn’t that much notice it or even pay attention to it. Well talking about you I’m not sure but it did go this way with me. Never really paid attention to the colors till I saw the second movie, then I saw both movies many times and I noticed many different things with the colors, the shape, also a better representation of their facial structures and expressions and even the smallest deddtails. (Yeah I do this with most Disney and Pixar movies). But if you start by the first Pixar movie, toys story and you see all the movies after in order of what has been created first till last, you wouldn’t notice the progression. Also for the colors, it’s like this with most old Pixar movies, most of them are pretty unsatured like toy story, the incredibles, Cars, even monster Inc for a bit (at least more than the others), just that I never understood how Disney movies actually got more colors than the Pixar ones.
