I wasn't a nerd in school, and was an ICSE student and I think in class 10th we were taught reproductive system and that had pretty much everything that a person of that age should know regarding sex education.(IF YOU CARED to read it properly). And no the teachers were not shy at all. and if you have got proper education at home on how to behave in public, when your body is undergoing through the process of puberty, you don't need a chapter on sex education. This is just too much hyped topic. If you study properly you get to know things. You should also have common sense, not everything can be and should be taught. Some things are important and should be known when the right time comes. Anything untimely can hamper the child's behaviour and outlook towards life. I believe raise strong men and women(both physically and emotionally), teach them how to control their desires, teach them how to enjoy life and also teach them how to be in discipline, and how to self defend at adverse times.
