It is currently a long holiday season in Korea, similar to Thanksgiving in the U.S. So most Koreans, especially those in Seoul, have left for their hometowns and many stores are closed. Please note, though, there will be many places open in downtown areas. Maybe it will be quiet and leisurely. It might be better for traveling. I hope you have a pleasant trip while you are in Seoul.

Hey Mike, I'll be there in 2 weeks also. I've been researching for the last month and it looks as if you have few options. Provided you're staying in Seoul, you can take the express metro and get to Seoul station and then transfer to a different line. For example, I'm staying in Myeondong so I'll be transfering to line 4. You also have a bus variant but depending on when you're arriving, you might hit traffic. First things to do once you arrive at the airport is to get some Korean money. I will convert the minimum since exchange rate is usually bad at the airport. Second, get a sim card and third, get a T-money card. The only thing I am not sure about is if the express train must be bought separately or if I could just load up my T-money card and use it to take the train. Enjoy your stay. Maybe we'll unknowingly rub elbows.

27:31 The girls looked down to check the door number from the floor, then moved. So in Seoul Metro, every carriages has a number 1 to 10, as well as doors from 1 to 4. For example, "6-2" incdicates the second door (entry/exit) of the sixth carriage. You can check the number on floor. On Kakako Map or Seoul Metro map, you can check which door number has the shortest (most efficient) trip for your metro line transfers or destination's station exits so you can save some time by tracking up or down the platform when you arrived. What the girls did was, they checked the number, and then moved to where they need to go as the subway has just departed anyways. :)

tip! The reason why people label cards when they get off is because of transfers. After the tags, all other buses and subways are free on board within 30 minutes. The maximum 2 of free transfers is supported. Korea's transportation cards share all buses and subways in the country. (The basic section is within an hour of public transportation or a straight distance of 10km) Taxis are also available, but transfers are not possible. When you don't have cash, you can pay with a transportation card at convenience stores WELCOME TOKOREA🙂

If I were to give you an update on K-pop In Korea, the virtual K-pop market is growing A group called "Isegy Idol" recently had a concert, attracting 20,000 people and succeeding. Please listen to the cover song "Fromis" by member Lilpa. It was the theme song of the Korean game and you can see the singing skills. There are songs such as "Re: Wind, Rock Down, Kidding" and so on, anyway, virtual idols are happening a lot in Korea right now, and it will probably affect the whole world soon. The reason I'm talking about this is that Korea is expected to start a game-changing game for Korean virtual idols in the global music market.

Korean Fried Chicken tip - you won't find the best at any street stand or any place where it's not made to order. Head to JongNo 3 ga station and walk south a few blocks but stop before you get to the man-made stream running east/west. Any number of side alleys would have outdoor German Hof-like tables where people are drinking beer and eating chicken. That's some of the best chicken right there. Or, if you want to play it safe and go with a popular chain - Kyochon and b.b.q chicken are consistently reliable. Multiple locations. Even if you can't finish, I'd get their half and half plates. Get one half original fried (no sauce) to appreciate the crispy flakiness of the skin, and the other half a sauced one of your choice. Soy garlic and sweet/spicy are two of the most popular flavors but it's up to you. I like that Korean chicken sauces are this thick glaze more than a runny sauce that drips off.

I enjoyed your video! When it comes to Gangnam, Samseong-dong, where COEX is located, feels more like the heart of Gangnam than Gangnam Station itself. However, true wealthy individuals live in Hannam-dong, Apgujeong and Cheongdam-dong. (Psy's song 'Gangnam Style' actually refers to Apgujeong and Cheongdam within Gangnam. In reality, he now lives in Hannam-dong, not in those areas.) Apgujeong Rodeo Street suffered during the pandemic but is slowly recovering now. Many businesses were closing down, but the cafes and shops surviving are mostly inside the Cheongdam-dong cafe street or on the opposite side of the Galeria. This alley is filled with celebrity hair salons and trendy cafes and restaurants. You can spot many celebrities there at night. Locals prefer Cheongdam-dong cafe street over Apgujeong Rodeo, and the area in front of Dosan Park is also popular. Unfortunately, I couldn't see that area, but it seems like heading in the direction of Sinsa-dong Garosu-gil from the bus stop where you got off. All of these places are near the bus stop where you first got off. Next time, be sure to check them out! I really enjoyed your journey and opinion!

I noticed you doing something innocent throughout your videos but for the sake of your youtube career wanted to warn: never compare Korea and Japan (because of its complicated political history). Just don't. Not even coming from the purest of hearts. Other travel youtubers did so at their peril (also reminded me of this girl who thought Vietnam must be obsessed with French culture since there was French architecture everywhere). I can tell you're an analytical person and I'd be tempted to myself, especially as you're on a multi-Asia trip and use previous countries visited as a frame of reference for the next one, but to prevent your comment section from possibly degenerating into a hot garbage dump, avoid if at all possible. "this Japanese style crosswalk" - because it reminded you of Shibuya crossing in Tokyo. No, it's just a scramble crossing intersection. "Japanese style vending machines." - vending machines. "Japanese style streets." - begging the fellow Koreans here to give this man a pass.

Can you tell me from Seoul to Gangnam how many minutes? If we T card can ride the train and bus?✌️

Gangnam located in Seoul. "Gangnam, Seoul". You can go to Gangnam station by subway. The subway system in Seoul is very comfortable. It's easy to find your destination.

The landscape of South Korea is made of mountains. I recommend travelers to hike mountains near Seoul. Achasan (Acha mountain) is placed in the east district of Seoul, close to Jamsil and you can see the vast scenery of the city at apex. it is not high so that you can get to the peak in 30 minutes.

I thought foreigners would find Gangnam very boring but I guess that's just cuz I'm from the area. Would love to take you on tour through Gangnam next time you visit Seoul :)

Welcome to Korea Gangnam :) You noted that plastic surgeries are popular! That's true. What was the most interesting thing you saw in the area?

Hey, fellow traveller! I'm also visiting Seoul (and South Korea) from Canada now that I call Canada my home. Glad you were being so frank about everything you see unlike those "patriotic" but foreign KZbinrs who want to take advantage of Koreans blindly liking them praising Korea. About to check out your Japan vids as I'm visiting Tokyo in less than two days!

Why would you not just walk into a club in Gangam/sp just to see what it was like? If clubs are not your thing you don't have to stay there.
