Dany you definitely need to go back and explore much more to really see what South Korea has to offer. You should also watch Train to Busan, then next time you can take the train too, Busan is really cool. Gamcheon village is stunning. The DMZ is worth visiting and you massively missed out not eating outside the hotel. So much more choice and there are more affordable options. Finally check out Jeju island, its on our hit list next time, it looks beautiful! Hope this trip gave you the urge to go back, we definitely will be.

While Coex (the mall you visited in 'Gangnam') is technically located in Gangnam district, the area known for its nightlife is actually around Gangnam Station, which is about three stops away from where you were. Additionally, I wouldn’t recommend Myeongdong to visitors. As you know, it’s a very touristy area with overpriced foods-some of which seem to be invented specifically for tourists and aren’t available elsewhere in the country. It often feels like there are more foreigners, particularly Chinese and Japanese visitors, than locals, and many of the vendors are Chinese as well.

It's not bad to visit Myeongdong. It's easy to get there and it's a gateway to namsan. i live in LA and transplants here love to tell visitors not to visit the touristy stuff but why not? I get if it's hard to reach, a long wait or literally a scam but if it is not then let folks have a good time and not feel bad at going to a tourist attraction, it's an attraction for a reason. seen way too many of my transplant friends try to impress their friends visiting from back home and it turns out to be some, "oh look at this cool restaurant, bar or club, it's something that not even many locals know about." when all they wanted to do is go eat in and out and check out venice beach lol.

เป็นประเทศที่เจริญแล้ว เสียแต่เจ้าของกิจการบางอย่างที่ว่าจ้างแรงงานที่ผิดกฏหมาย ทำให้มุมมองของคนเปลี่ยนไป แรงงานต่างด้าวที่ผิดกฏกมายเยอะมากๆ รัฐบาลควรรีบจัดการเจ้าของกิจการเหล่านี้ เพื่อชื่อเสียงในมุมบวกของประเทศ กำจัดแรงงานต่างด้าวให้สิ้นซาก ขอบคุณครับ😅😅

Koreans living in Seoul rarely go to Myeongdong because most of shops and restaurants are only for foreingers and those are not Korean Vibe at all. Maybe close to Chinese Vibe... Myeongdong was the main street of Seoul decades ago, but it is definitely not now. If you want to feel Seoul vibe, you should visit other towns like Seongsu, Apgujung, Gwangwhamun, Yeouido, Jongro.
