FYI - it is composite not carbon fiber; however, the wing spar is carbon fiber

Most of the components like the doors, wings and cowls are carbon. Really the only thing that isn’t carbon is the main fuse which is fiberglass composite.

I put a 160K deposit (before release) on a G7 and now I am filled with regret. Same old power plant, NO FADEC, and a completely ridiculous price tag. You don't have to read many of the professional pilot's comments to figure out the G7 fell short of high expectations. IMHO, as a new pilot the Cirrus is overwhelming and unsafe. In general, the Cirrus experience has been less than satisfactory. New pilots, do your homework before you get sucked in...

Its NOT about the plane but the instruments it has AND the parachute... Trust me, you'd be amazed at the tech this has... There is a reason there is almost no competition to this model...

@@Qp0int the Instrument panel ALONE on some of these planes is $1m+... its also a PRESSURIZED cabin for high altitude and in board oxygen system...

@@sagatdoubrovsky3009 it still needs a bit of pressurization above certain height, otherwise you would feel uneasy and uncomfortable, especially on the ears even IF you "blow" them. Its not a fully pressurized cabin to support free breathing, but it still is a stronger Hull than a normal Cessna 172...
