I remember going to the Abbey in June of 2014 in the process of renovation. The floor was all cleared out save the heavy, heavy altar. Being just a guest, I was nonetheless given a quick, impromptu ten minute look inside the chapel with all the activity going on. I remember telling the worker (who was from my home town and who let me inside) my critique of the progress, as if I had any knowledge or acumen of construction. lol. May God continue the work of the Abbey and the brothers who have given themselves to the work of the Lord. † ♥ †

Wow. I remember visiting the monastery when it was being built in the 1970's and then later attending mass there occasionally. Such a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere.

Monk’s Bread is the best. You can buy it at Wegman’s or order it online direct from the Brothers. It is abs my favorite. They have a wide variety of flavors.

I've always thought Cistercian chapels were not supposed to have stained glass. Only clear glass. (And I used to be a Cistercian!)
