EXACTLY! I only just realized that the weakest parts are the sewn seams; but there's only been like 3 sewn things across 30 garments. So sewing is really out the window here and it's something altogether new! Like arts and crafts with fashion, but still beautiful.

Oh my goodness!! What a beautiful peek behind the scenes! There are so many tiny details that go into each garment... I can't imagine the feeling of seeing each piece walk down the runway. The amount of sheer work, delicate and tedious, is a wonder to behold. Layer upon layer of effort... tiny snips and delicate use of industrial manufacture (digital fabric prints, sculptural 3D prints, laser cutting etc.) all strategically positioned by hand and sewn, glued, sealed to flow and ebb on the runway... fluid, airy and almost gaseous. For and old arts & crafts guy like me, its nothing short of mind altering! Great teamwork!!

Iris Van Herpen is the designer that is going to transcend design and fashion to a complete different direction. I still feel her art is underappreciated. She is like Van Gogh. It will all make sense in the future! This fashion is from a different point in time! I shed the same tears from a far just by watching. It truly is wonderful to experience and I can't even begin to imagine the emotions of realization that you are a part of it. The ending encapsulated the emotion we all feel.. WHAT AN EXTRAORDINARY COLLABORATIVE WORK OF ART.
