Randy Rhoades played at my 16th birthday party in Burbank it was definitely the hugest that I have ever seen in Burbank and I’ve been to a lot of parties in Burbank they played at least3 a weekend wherever they could play . Kelli was my brothers best friend. They were great ahead of me. He was in my brothers continuation class. Both of them were in high school and I used to see him walk around the hallways jamming with his with his guitar him and Kellie they were so skinny, and I kind of protected him because I was in the football.

Yes. I think it's probably the best song Randy made. It has fluid and beautiful acoustics, then bam, it goes to full-on, in your face distortion. And the solo sounds almost ghostly. It's not in the front but in the background, yet you can clearly hear every note played to perfection. I think that solo was the one that took randy several days to come up with, but it was worth it!

What a way to get the correct history from Bob himself. First thank you Bob for helping Randy develop. Question- I have heard from pretty good source. Is it true that while Blizzard was being made, there was a guy hired that was making a Mr Crowley Mtv style video and filmed you guys in the studio. The film maker left because Ozzy was giving him a hard time and he left with the reels?

lol@ helping Randy develope!!...laughable. Why you guys fall for everything Daisley says, the guy is full of shit. Tell me, what great songs did Daisley write before he played with RR?..Ill tell ya, NONE!. Remember, both Daisley and Kerslake were unemployed along with Ozzy at that time. Tommy Aldridge makes it clear that those were RANDYS SONGS, no 2 ways about it. Daisley is like alot of people when it comes to RR...tends to exxagerate his time with Randy Rhoads.

So, IS THERE an outlet that actually HAS those early Bob and Randy cassette demo/practice tapes to WHERE a person CAN HEAR THE TAPES IN THEIR ENTIRETY???.....🤔 IK Bob has the book/I bought it awhiles back but, have yet, to actually sit down and READ something (and be able to digest EVERYTHING etc.)....But, wasn't there an outlet/website that HAD those tapes in their entirety? I will be 51 y.o. in a couple weeks and HAVE BEEN a BLLIZZARD OF OZ band fan EVER SINCE the original album debuted, HAVE been a fan EVER since, and go through the whole early Ozzy/Randy era phase (research/listening to those 1st 2 albums etc.) every so often, so yeah...."TRYIN" to do the math? I think I was either 7 years old OR HAD already turned 8 y.o. when my older sister brought Blizzard home, as it WAS, pretty fresh, I DO recall that much about it, at the time, but yeah....A little 7 and OR, 8 years old kid? And I HAVE BEEN a RHOADS fan, EVER SINCE! 😏 ROCK the funk ON 🤘🔥🤘

I remember when Tribute came out and everybody loved the "behind the scenes" of Randy recording Dee. It's like being a fly on the wall. I would like to hear the process of creating and honing even if the sound quality isn't A1. I got Bob's book years ago, and his career is a very long one even before Blizzard. A must read for anyone that likes the classic rock era.

Oz has said he had the melody for goodbye to romance in his head for awhile walking around humming it, and that randy heard him and worked it out with him. Did you write those beautiful lyrics as well as I'm 100 percent positive you wrote alot if not all of first 2 album lyrics.? Side note bought the book 2 yrs ago, kickers. Thanks for sharing insight into such a great period in time for the music you helped shape and mold. Greetings from Salisbury North Carolina!

Bob goes over on his website and book what he actually wrote he broke down each song Bob's answer from his website: Goodbye to Romance: Ozzy had a few lines ready for this one, including the title but I wrote most of the lyrics. My message was directed at Ozzy to 'look ahead' and not get stuck in the past regarding his dismissal from Black Sabbath, which was still bothering him. I wrote the outro lyrics in the control room of a Birmingham demo studio when we first recorded the song as a demo for the record company. I still have that demo. Incidentally, the title is a line from an Everly Brothers' song 'Bye, Bye Love'. Tommy Aldridge has also shed some light on Ozzy humming ideas. he said Randy would make fun of him because he would hum an idea, Randy would ask him to repeat it and Ozzy never record hum it the same two times , whereas Randy would sing drum riffs to Tommy to try and TOmmy would ask him to repeat it, to give Randy a taste of his own medicine, and Randy would sing it the same way he did the first time.

I might have found some studio notes online that had mentioned songs that weren't on the Diary Of A Madman album. And if you do ever release the tapes how would they be released? Like on Spotify or Itunes etc? And one more question I have been wondering about is Won't be coming home S.I.N. about Randy? It is a very sad song to listen to know what it could truly be about. I was thinking of this yesterday as I was walking the dog and You Can't Kill Rock and Roll came on pandora. THink of the fortuitous confluence of events that occurred for this magic to happen with those two Blizzard of ozz albums. Even after Ozzy hired Randy, after Bob told him he needed to find world class musicians to really make a go at this. And even Joe Elliott in an interview said that there was a lot of pressure for Ozzy to show he can outdo Sabbath. Yes, you had a young guitar teacher who can play at a high level, but no one really knew if he could write songs. Can Bob talk about how a lot of guys can play an instrument but it does not mean they can write songs, quality songs. Tommy Aldridge is on record saying few guys have the facility of their instrument as Randy did.

Wow he finally mentioned it !!! I've always asked diehard Ozzy and Randy fans if anyone knew the name of the fake band name that the Blizzard of Oz tour use for their first 4 shows that were warm up gigs in the UK and Scotland to gage the audiences reaction to the new material being releasing that first album and officially starting their first UK tour .Randy and Bob wanted to play under the stage name "The Law" or just "Law" so nobody would know who they were especially Ozzy .I've asked that trivia question to hundreds of people in Ozzy and Randy KZbin videos comments and not one ever knew it .people called me stupid and thought I was lied but bob just mentioned it "LAW" for those first few warm up gigs than under the Stage name Blizzard Of Ozz Band

there is tons of unreleased live audio, especially the South Hampton show which they pulled from the original boxset because the Osbournes are bags. Does bob have any plans to release these tapes with a record company etc. Has he looked into legal advice about copyright. Would he be able to get a deal with all the musicians and the estates of the musicians who have past on that were on the tapes. Would removing ozzy vocals be a way of not being sued.
@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle
@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle Жыл бұрын
he owns the copyright, that is automatic since he recorded it. The other people playing on it have a performance copyright. Bob could go scorched Earth and just release it for free. but then the Osbournes would probably sue, even if Bob got a mechanical license which would really allow him to do it.

he was NOT ripped off. He was being paid a flat salary when he was with Ozzy, and seeing as he was unemployed, im sure quite happy. Thats why he kept working with Ozzy after the Diary record. His problem is he tried to sue for publishing royalties AFTER the records went multi platinum and 2 American Courts threw the cases out. He had NO STANDING.. in ther words, no legal claim. You cant come back years later and claim you did this and that, dont work like that. Before he played a note, he should have had his own publishing company, but he didnt. Ozzy had his own company, BLIZZARD MUSIC LTD, and he got the publishing rights..and thats where the big money is. He owns those recordings, lock, stock and barrel...nobody else. You wanna use those recordings in a documentary?..or a commercial?....you gotta pay the publisher, Mr Osbourne, its that simple.
