I remember in England everyone was amazed that Cantona didn't even get in France Euro '96 squad as he was playing brilliantly for Man Utd at the time. Then we saw Zidane play and the rest was history for France. I believe Cantona never played for France again after his kung fu kick.

Zidane was a flop in Euro 96. Everyone was raving about Djorkaeff in the tournament.

@@chidiumeh He wasn't a flop he got better as tournament went on, but I meant when people saw Zidane play in general for club and country over next year or so. Then it was clear why France had decided to invest in him rather than stick with Cantona.

at 5:55 i think Eduardo Camavinga reminds me of Christian Karambeu. Versatile player can play multiple positions in the midfield (i think Camavinga even played as a left back), very good composure, very good physically - Karambeu probably was stronger bu then Camavinga i think had a better speed, great passers both of them.
