I did the same thing :D, here timing is the only key, even if u manage to climb up by ladders, the supersonic boom sound will kill you eventually if u don;t use that rotating arm machine timely as a shield :D

BasqueNYC This video was too helpful, I want the second version of this game. Really I have played so many games on ps4, pc, action, strategic,simulation, but trust me, this game is totally out of everything :D, I felt like everytime something very horrible is going to be happened, a suspense worked, but the thing that was so horrific and ugly was the chicken like thing that was running :v,and it was so fun to smash things with that and also entering through squeezy things and to apply physics to carry or make balance of several things :v
