GeValero Let's say it was a Frankfurter, not a hot dog in Arnold's vocabulary ;)

Exactly. I can't believe Arnold got that wrong. Love the montage being set to Inna-Gadda-Da-Vida. That was inspired. I always liked Robert Urich a lot too (RIP)

True, that was kind of a 1-off police character movie. Really good flick.

I saw this in the movies when it first came out and was hooked! It actually was criticized for its "vigilantism".

yes. How offensive to have DH rescue kids from a deranged psycho killer. Not fair to treat killers like that hahaha. I will never understand dysfunctional liberals.

Play Misty for me was playing at the movies when Harry walked out of the diner, eating his hotdog,. Hamburger, pizza slice, ice cone, dam,come on Arnold 😀🤣🤣🤣
@MoparMissileDivision Жыл бұрын
Fun fact. Fred Williamson who played the bad guy bank robber that Eastwood shoots and wounds in Dirty Harry, then gives his famous quote "I know what you're thinking, did I fire six shots or only five" to him before pulling the trigger scaring the sh*t out of him, is a good personal friend of Eastwood and was in a later Dirty Harry movie Sudden Impact as a good guy friend of Harry. The makers of the movie made it look like Williamson was another bad guy trying to sneak up on Harry while he is target practicing with the Automag but at the last minute turns around and points it right between the eyes of the bad guy bank robber now turned good guy!

Eastwood said there were no statements in the movie about what is happening in real life. But I like it for the tech talk about law and what the Criminals seemed to get away with, the lack of getting to the problem and fix it by the political leaders and the butt smooching toadies leaders in law enforcement. plus the tech talk on firearms as well.
@roquefortfiles10 жыл бұрын
I love Clint and I am a huge Harry fan. But if you really want to get realistic there is no way in hell he could fire a 44 Magnum with one hand. That thing would be launched out of his hand like a spinning top.
@jeffrytaberski988910 жыл бұрын
I know but this is Hollywood !!! All action movies you see realistic ???
@froterons10 жыл бұрын
Actually it can be quite manageable, especially in the big and heavy Smith and Wesson model 629 he uses.
@fredfender827210 жыл бұрын
froterons It's not a Model 629. It's a Model 29. The 629 is recent. The number '6' is added to indicate stainless steel.
@fredfender827210 жыл бұрын
The Model 29 .44 magnum can be fired easily and accurately with one hand. Too, if you watch Magnum Force, the scene at the indoor range, Harry says the load he uses is a "light special."

What Ah-Nold says: "Dirty Harry was such a cool character cos he did things outside the law, so to speak..." What Ah-Nold REALLY thought: " Why dis leetle guy kicking ass? Why cahnt it be a beeg guy? " Ah-Nold, from Raw Deal 1986: " What Doo I look like, DOORTY HARRY? " Yeah, only ... bigger. And less congenial, if that's even possible. Point being: are we willing to trust clear concise film analysis to... this man??

The scene in Dirty Harry where the helicopter spots the rooftop shooter, but instead of hovering above the building and telling patrol cars to cordon off the building and the North Beach neighborhood...the helicopter just keeps flying away. I guess that's where realism gets lost in a Hollywood script. Not a well-done scene in an otherwise good movie.
