12:29 - The silverware, and all the dishes are compactly stored so they don't rattle inside the cabinets. This significantly reduces interior noise while driving. You have road noise from outside, metal panels vibrating, and interior rattles from screen door, utensils, etc. By using this sandwiched foam core, they have insulated and reduced outdoor noise significantly, no metal panels to rattle, and everything is wedged in tight to prevent clinking sounds from inside. Very well done. An awesome build, this is not just a house but a survival camp. I am impressed with the mileage at 10 - 12 mpg. This is what my Class C Ford E350 V10 gets with much less weight on it. A very heavy duty but agile RV, beautifully crafted.

They said they still owned a house in Germany, probably some huge villa, but that they lived there only three months annually. Mostly to spend time with their children and grandkids. The truck was made by Orangework. And this vid reminded me of the build quality and engineering that goes into these Globetrotter RV's. That couple were great, friendly people, living a great life. Wow 10-12 mpg is actually pretty great considering the size of this beast. I'm still waiting to hear the sticker price but so far I'm sold!

$750k+. It’s a millionaires RV. A lot of people build their own poor man’s version though. If you search for DIY EarthRoamer on KZbin, there are a ton of videos.

Amazing. Was proud to see footage of my son-in-law meeting Jay just before (my son in law) he died unexpectedly, after performing on the show. He told us Jay was a 'good human' which I was shocked to hear. To see Jay being a bit more awake than others, does the heart good.

Ive been following and wanting one for years and i love how they keep improving the models. My question is how do u get that truck thru all south america and not get robbed?

Impressive vehicle! Probably wouldn't be able to go into the high Sierra's where even driving a pick-up on the narrow roads is a challenge. If you like open spaces and could afford something like this, it would be ideal. On the same note, a person who would buy one of these wouldn'r be too concerned with fuel prices, just fuel range.

It's like the people who convert military trucks into off-road campers. It'll work in the desert but it won't fit anywhere east of the Mississippi or the Pacific Northwest. And if it gets stuck or in a tight spot, good luck pulling that behemoth out.

@@bwofficial1776 but aren’t they cool to look at? If everyone was as practical as you and me, the world would be a boring place. Not to mention, it’s funny to watch someone you warned bury their 20,000 lb+ vehicle 😁
@automatedelectronics60622 жыл бұрын
@@bwofficial1776 And can you imagine a Ford dealership which had a place to work on that behemoth. If Ford still had more heavy truck dealers(they sold the line to Freightliner), they probably wouldn't want to work on one either.

They’re pretty rare and there of course was no pass through, but Ford did have a quad bucket seat option on crew cabs, on the previous generation steel body super duty trucks. Early 2000’s it was available in the Lariat LE trim package, and the Harley Davidson super duty’s also had it available.

Economy of scale … the first few of any really innovative new thing are always more expensive … be patient and the price will go down some. Right now, this vehicle is worth $500K, at least it is for the people who really want it and have the money available. More importantly, they are setting a higher bar for RV manufacturers. (I want mine built on a Cybertruck body.)
