My husband and I started van camping in 1974 with our two small children. For nine winters we went to Mexico, took seven years off while the kids were in high school, and just the two of us returned to Mexico again for the winter in 1991. Our van had a standing Coleman ice chest we built in, and a Coleman stove. Water was in jugs, and our porta potty was yogurt containers. Every winter we traveled all over Mexico and Guatemala and in 2004 we got a small traveler trailer because at 60 I wanted a bathroom. Our last trailer was a 23 foot and we ended up just staying the winter in one place in Mexico instead of traveling all around. We missed the convience of going places in the van, but enjoyed the life we had with friends we met there each year. March 2020 was our last trip, but we have wonderful Memories of almost forty years of traveling.

Thank you so much for sharing your memories ❤ It sounds like you had some wonderful times. It's kinda wild to think how the Earth Roamer compares to the van camping you did in 1974 right!? ❤ Are your kids into camping with their families because of growing up with that kind of vacation? I was born in the mid 70's so I have teenagers now and they love to camp out!

@@TheMinimalistTherapist Both our children love to travel and our daughter has lived in Mexico, Spain, Chile, Puerto Rico, and now California. Our son is a teacher and in 2010 he took a year off and moved to Sayulita, Mexico, with his wife and two children where he taught at the Costa Verde American school and his children attended the school. He and his family travel whenever they can, and his children are following in the family tradition.

That's so cool!!! I've been watching their videos since March 2018! My dad introduced me to K&N, and it was by complete accident. I was so hooked by then and now I'm so hooked to the point where I figuratively in my head jump up and down whenever a new vlog is uploaded on KZbin!! ❤ they're truly one of the best travel vloggers out there!

I bought my LTi because of your first ER video, Spent 7 months in it. 3 months in Alaska, 2 months in Canada, 2 months in the US Rockies. In our first month in the LTi we ordered the SX. We will pick it up in May and plan to spend five years traveling throughout North, Central, and South America. Thanks for the inspirational videos. We have done many things you have and you help us build our bucket list.

Does it come with spare LTi and two technicians ? 😃 Had to ask since Nate keeps complaining that they won't let them go unescorted 😃 Of course they won't - even a small mishap ca escalate into colossal damage. So a real correlated question would be - how much is insurance and does anyone even sell it (covering real equipment failures and potential damages, not just "highway and parking dings").

I noticed they did not like your comments😂. I don't see how they trying to justify this thing is worth a million dollars. Let's take a RV they start at 100k for a real good one with extended sides. So please tell me where the 900k extra dollar goes? If I had 100 million dollars I would not buy this I have seen people make their own I would do something like that someone who I know how to build them. This and a Bugatti I just would not buy and a Rolls-Royce if I had a hundred million dollars. 07-14-24@3:41am

Kids, you have no idea how much I love and envy you. Colin, on one of the sailing channels, and I am going to paraphrase this, "When you get older, you are not going to regret the things that you did, you are going to regret the things you didn't do". At 85, I of course can no longer partake in the adventures that you engage in, but I can totally enjoy the joy that you show in most of the challenges that you partake in. Please keep it going, as you, along with a few others, make my week and give me a reason to fire up my computer, and watch another adventure.

i must say guys i do love this Earthroamer. I am orginally from the Uk (London) and live in southern California. I have been been a keen lover of Global expedition Vehicles for over 20 years. I was wondering when the US market would open the doors to these type of global trucks. If you see the Bimobil, Unicat, MnG90 the attention to detail in these vehicles and the use of space and all the rest thrown in is in my mind the benchmark worldwide. This Earthroamer is on par with all of them so i am very excited and pleased to see where they are, and where they will be going with this co. Great video and i just signed onto your channel, You both are hilarious and have a great sense of humor 2 qualities that will get you a long way in life. cheers all the best to you.

Just found your site so, maybe you've already done this: Alaska. My wife and I got back in April from an Alaska cruise (8 day bus, 7 day cruise), where we agreed it would be kind of hard to do with the camp gear we currently have. On top of that, we just spoke this week with a couple at a campground who were returning from a motorhome caravan to Alaska. They mentioned how hard it was on their equipment, not to mention that of their companions (20 some other couples/rigs). EarthRoamer seems cxustom built to handle such rigors. Great video by the way.

New to the channel and trying to do a marathon of videos. In my backyard almost. I love the ski backing for going up hill. Curious though do they have to be removed to work going downhill or did you take them off to make it smoother. Great review and awesome video. Stay warm and safe travels.

The Next Upgrade might be using Dimond and other Precious Stones for the inside decoration, and pure Gold and Silver for the Outside Decoration. It may even have a Helicopter Landing on the Roof. Even better, placing wings on the roof and turn the camper into a Helicopter. The price may even go up to $100,000,000 or more. !!! There is no limit to the human vanity. Obviously, for some people, it is not enough to go hiking or skying, and then coming down to a very nice hotel that has more space, and more amenities than the EarthRoamer SX. The human proclivity for absurdity is never ending.

Thanks for the avalanche safety shout out. Recreating in winter environments is beautiful but can be dangerous. Dont forget to look at avy forecasts before you leave! You two should consider doing and avalanche course! They have a cool one in montana where you get to go backcountry skiing and stay in a yurt for 3 days :) love yall.

This channel has turned into a channel pushing products. The greed is real. With almost 4 million subscribers they're doing just fine and still that's not enough. Constantly trying to get their subscribers to buy things. And, don't believe for one minute they're not getting a cut from this. These KZbinrs seem to think we don't know how KZbin works. Again, the greed is real.

Hey! That is not cool! They are not greedy they are just some amazingly kind people who like vlogging everything they do from flying first class to jumping into the arctic ocean! I have been watching since 2019 and always smile when I see a new earth Rommer video come out. I love how at 26:34 Kira just goes all in and goes under in the freezing water it’s So cool!

Why is earning money from a product “greed”? They film, edit and upload. That’s their product. 4 million people are their customers. When the customer feels they no longer want, need or like their product, it’s up to them to cease consuming said product. My money is on the fact that you have a job where you produce something in exchange for a monetary element. Are you greedy?

@@MosEisleysChef-wc6iy Well your money is in the wrong place. I'm retired living good. I'm not talking about their product which is content. I'm talking all the other products they try to entice their subscribers to buy. When we all know the only reason they're pushing those products is because they're recieving some type of benefit from pitching them. And, those sales pitches are steadily increasing. That's the greed. I can see by your words that your position is extract as much money as you can. And by the way their product is filming their travels not all that other stuff from different companies that they get for free and want everyone else to buy. You know exactly what they're doing and if you agree with it that's fine.

Kudos to you all. You are better off living this way. I was out with my family this morning and this guy was just mean-mugging us. Yeah it was taking a long time for us to cross in the walk but dang. Then when we left the establishment some other guy was trailing in behind me; this is a big pet-peeve of mine. However, congrats with the vehicle.

What kind of average MPG does that thing get on the highway while enroute to somewhere? Any chance it's over 10, over 12, what? Thanks. Dang, I love that road clearance and those tires. And what is the height of the vehicle, from ground to highest point? Somehow I doubt it will fit inside most hotel garages, but maybe some, so I ask. Oh, any screens on any of the windows? I didn't see any when you opened a few. By the way, Kara's great, but Nate, great name! 🙂 The silence of an isolated winter wonderland. Nothing like it! Add in all that exercise to get to and from. I think my smile is as large as yours are!
