China’s successful transformation has been also directly linked to the State-owned enterprises, they have played a significant role in China's economic growth and development. As of 2017, China has more SOEs than any other country. In 2018, half of the country's centrally owned Enterprises were among the world's 500 largest companies and in 2019, they represented 4.5% of the global economy.

Owned 2 EVS made in China. Tesla and BYD Atto 3. After driving Japanese Cars for 30 years ,....... Chinese EV are now MUCH better than those from Japan. In terms of Functionality , Comfort , Pricing , Running Cost , Reliability and Prestige , Chinese EV are WAY AHEAD. NEVER going back to Japanese, German or EU cars .

Compared to USA car assembly? USA's manufacturing technology is very primitive. China's factory automation is very advanced. This is one of the reasons China can produce cars at a very low cost. USA administration should blame itself for investing in military technology an waging wars instead of enhancing and improving its own power, communications, and infrastructure systems. USA will take at least 1 decade to catch up.

@@davidz7858in the USA you have to thank the UAW for stopping innovation for job security. Meanwhile in China, that plant in the video was built using the latest assembly design from VW and Toyota. Two of the best in the world. Imported and copied via 'joint venture'

USA is already far ahead. You just don't see it because USA has a strong union who favor human rights and job security more than innovation. Auto workers are paid RMB 500 PER HOUR! Meanwhile in China monthly salary is RMB 3000!

@@vueport99so job security and “human rights” over innovation and yet Detroit is more advanced? Have you forgotten US taxpayers lost a nett of 10.6 billion bailing out GM to the tune of 49.5 billion and still US made cars are crap compared to every other major car manufacturing country. Have you forgotten how US increased car tariffs on EU manufacturers forcing Daimler Benz to set up factory in the US and transfer tech to the US (China does it bad, US does it ok?)? Have you forgotten that Toyota kicked the big 4 collective butt in price vs cost vs value because their factory in US is non-UAW? The assembly line isn’t a VW or Toyota invention. It was popularised by Henry Ford and the idea has been in the public domain for decades which every manufacturing sector has today adopted so rest of the world copies the idea good and China copies the idea bad? 1990 is calling, you need to get out of whatever hole you’ve been living in. China is labour expensive since 2010 and not labour cheap. The Average monthly salary in the automotive Industry in China today is about 21k RMB average with the lowest at 8.75k and highest at 53.5K average. This is in line with China GDP per capita of 11,256 USD per year. The nett tax is 20% at 21k RMB which works out to a net income of 16.8k when applied against PPP factors would roughly work out to 33.6k then divide by 7 to 4.8K in USD, that’s net income PPP adjusted. Then you add in comparison of LCU factor of 4.18, 16.8K can buy 4 times as many goods as someone in the US so we arrive at an LCU income of 70.224k or roughly 10K USD. SO basically an American would need to have 10K after taxes in order to purchase the same amount of items as a Chinese making 16.8K RMB after taxes. My UAW numbers are extremely out of date as it’s been more than a decade since a friend of mine was complaining about DuPont Paint factory in Detroit where he was a senior manager negotiating with UAW. Ended up the average factory worker would gross about 125k a year when they came to terms with UAW. After both Michigan state and federal taxes the worker would have about 100K left. Divide 100K by 12, that works out to 8333 USD so basically almost 1700 USD less than a Chinese automotive industry average worker salary in terms of purchasing power. So in conclusion, China is paying workers better than Detroit today.

You said since 1994, joint venture is required to enter the Chinese market. I don't believe that is accurate. BMW entered the China market in 1994. The joint venture with Brilliance Automotive didn't happen until 2003! Copied and pasted from BMW group: Founded in 2003 with Chinese partner Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd. (CBA), the joint venture produces BMW vehicles with internal combustion engines and electric drivetrains for the Chinese market and for export at two locations in Shenyang (Liaoning Province).
